It's quiter but weaker
I have this cord in addition to my larger charger. The larger charger is loud and it gets hot, as well as heating up the battery a bit more than this one. So I figured I'd give this a go, and it does work, but my particular laptop is on the larger side and this charger doesn't have the ability to effectively charge the battery while the laptop is running. It is quiter and cooler, but in terms of charging speed and power, it just isn't there. It is fine when you aren't using your laptop, but if you are you can expect to get some kind of small notification window pop up that roughly says your battery charging performance isn't as good as it needs to be to optimize both charging and usage simultaniously. Not bad, but not great.
