Inspiring
As someone just starting out in this field of work, this was a great book to read. I found myself, at the beginning, wondering how Kerry knew my thoughts!?! I would recommend this book to anyone who has been called to encourage others to give of their blessings. Reading Kerry's story was a great encouragement for me.

Kerry Robinson brings courage to the fearful, hope to the despairing, and light to those who wallow in darkness. By stressing fidelity to mission, examining the fears relating to asking for money, and relating the story of her own journey as the development director at St. Thomas More Center, Ms Robinson has given me a renewed sense of the importance and possibility of becoming a successful advancement person as the head of a Catholic secondary school. This book, coupled with my attendance at a recent dynamic workshop for Catholic high school presidents, has given me a boost for the new academic year.

A Gift of Faith, Optimism, and Encouragement
I was privileged to hear the author speak to a group of seminary presidents at a conference hosted by the Association of Theological Schools. Her charisma, grace, humility, and warmth were evident in her presentation. While listening, I added her book to my wish list at Amazon. The simple story of a successful development venture in the non-profit faith based world, inspired me. My work is filled with more optimism and energy because of Kerry Alys Robinson's gift of herself through her writing Imagining Abundance.

Great book! Enjoyed it even more the second time around. Through Kerry’s personal experiences, the book explores the spiritual connection that touches the donor, the asker, and the people being served. Kerry’s honesty about their fundraising mistakes and their discoveries along the journey to raise money for the Catholic Center at Yale was inspiring to read. You can truly see the hand of God at work.

Authentic
I read this in tandem with Henry Freeman's _Unlacing the Heart_, and found this book much more authentic. The author is straightforward and conversational, willing to admit places where she had needed to rethink, and winsomely earnest in sharing her experience of fundraising as a spiritual, even pastoral practice.
