Great for off-grid shower.
So far I really do love this HWH. We are using it in the outhouse of our off-grid cabin for a shower and it has worked perfectly. We use two D-Cell batteries to power it and it sparks and comes on immediately when water flow is sensed. Installation was straightforward for the most part although certainly installing the vent took a fair amount of work, as did running the black pipe propane line. We are at 8,100' and have no problem with it staying on and running for a shower of any length. I would give it 5 stars except that getting the temperature right takes a little work - the flame/gas control is very sensitive, and the temperature readout is only in Celsius. We have another Aquah HWH that is digitally controlled and maintains an exact temperature, but that unit cost far more and requires 110VAC and we did not want to use an inverter in our outhouse, which has 12VDC only. Our water source is purified rainwater we store in a 1,000 gallon cistern and we use a 12VDC pump and 2 gallon pressure tank to send water to the HWH.

Great water heater!
This is the second unit I have ordered the first on was an 10-L. I used it for about 16 months attached to my RV trailer in Sierra Vista AZ. I screwed up I Jan. 2051, and allowed it to freeze up and bust. The 16-L worked ok and no problems. But the new 10-L is better. The larger on was the only unit I could find at the time and it was too large for out trailer, and somewhat hard to control. The new one is much better and works like a dream. Both of the heaters are sensitive to water pressure though. If the RV has pressure Issues it will affect the performance of the water temp. They have to be modified slightly for out door use and drain valves head to be installed. Contact the seller and they will be glad to help. They helped me and were not pushy. Great units!

Great customer service!!
Just started using it but so far so good. I had to comment on the customer service though, wow, top notch!! You get a person right away, no going through annoying computer answering and clicking. He was so helpful and patient, even sent me pictures of what I needed to do, walked me through problem solving step by step (it was user error!). Honestly the best customer service I have had in a long time!!

So far, seriously satisfied.
I almost never write reviews, but feel compelled to write a positive review on this. I've installed propane appliances for 40 years in various homes and buildings, but called GNK twice with questions on installation, never having installed an on demand gas water heater. Each time i called, the phone was answered by a technically competent individual, not a salesperson or computer. Also, purchased an electric unit just over a year ago for my barn - total junk at the same price. This unit replaces it. Use it every day for two months now and works great, especially in my northernmost climate (45 degree water input).

So far so good
So far so good. I’ve got a small mobile home, and it seems to work just fine. Temperature doesn’t fluctuate like the tankless heater in my camper.
