Sweet Crochet Friends: 16 Amigurumi Creations from Khuc Cay Paperback – October 15, 2019

This book was my first attempt at amigurumi and I feel very fortunate that it was recommended to me. It had clear and concise instructions, accompanied by many photos, which were easy to follow. I did have a question with the instructions on one of the creations and contacted the author via her instagram page. She got back to me immediately and and answered my question. I will be purchasing her other books as all of her creations are so cute!

I love this book! I have all her books and she writes fantastic patterns. Smart design process. I also love the colors she uses!

I love the whimsy and delightful creativity of this young artist. MS Cay is such a lovely teacher in bringing those of us who use her patterns along with her, providing clear instructions and pictures along the way. I can hardly wait to see what she does next. It is wonderful to find such a unique and gifted designer of fun and interesting crochet characters in MS Cay. Thank you!

I was delightfully surprised by the high quality nature of this book! It's larger sized, with clear pictures and the pages fall open and stay put just the way you like it when working with a pattern. I purchased this for the adorable patterns but have to say that the quality of the book construction makes me think it will withstand lots of use. If only every pattern book could say the same! And I have to give it to the shipping being much faster than I thought it would be from overseas. I didn't think it would be here for another couple of weeks.

I’ve been making amigurumi creations for a few years. This book has explained so many things I had to search for to improve my skills. Thank you Khuc Cay for the detailed instructions, beautiful pictures, easy to follow patterns, and the cutest critters and dolls! I give these things to kids with cancer, foster children, hospice patients, and babies. I’m so glad I have this book in my collection.

I’ve been crocheting for years now but still consider myself an amateur. I made the koala bear and enjoyed it. My 5 year old loves it. It was a bit tricky to make, but after frogging it a few times, I’m happy with the way it turned out. Instructions are clear, although in this particular pattern I noticed a couple errors. I did learn a few tricks from this book and am excited to make more amigurumi.PS: the koala bear isn’t completely done yet. I still need to make the red scarf and hat, plus border the bottom of his shirt. Will post picture again when it’s all done.

I love this book! It has wonderful illustrations. I especially like that the author included information for making stuffed toys, special stitches and techniques used, sewing pieces together, and recommended yarns to use.
