Love this tablecloth!!! With proper care, it should last a lifetime.
This is very elegant and adds a simple, charming beauty to our home/dining area. I love the natural linen fabric (a replacement for a made-in-China shiny-ish polyester tablecloth that showed wear after only a year...lesson learned... Will now buy only high-quality beautiful and useful items made to last for years). So how has this held up over many months of daily use (I don't buy multiples of things if I don't need to, so this is our only tablecloth now.)? I was pretty worried when I hosted a dinner party and some red wine and beet hummus spilled onto it, but after the evening's fun, I used some stain remover and laundered it. It came out like new, and today it still looks beautiful, new, and stain-free after many washes.

Pretty Color
These are a beautiful pale pink color. They are thin, so I doubled them up. Not a problem for me.

Very Thin Material
I'm disappointed. This is a Villeroy & Boch tablecloth, a well-known brand name which usually means fine quality. And it's expensive. This tablecloth is practically see-through. It could never be used without some form of table cover matting underneath. I have a glass table and it's so thin, the glass shows! The color is lovely and was exactly what I was looking for but overall the quality is just not there.

Linen is not an easy fabric, but if you're okay with that this is top quality.
CONS:1) Linen must be ironed to look like the product photos after washing. The wrinkled look does not go with the refined styling of this tablecloth.2) Stains are not easy to get out. If you choose any light colored linen you may have to replace your tablecloth frequently or live with remnants of stains (tomato sauce, anyone?).3) Lint balls are intrinsic to linen fabric. By "lint balls" I mean areas where fibers have gathered and does not look as smooth as surrounding areas. I use a lint brush to tame these balls.4) The color Dove Gray is not gray at all. It's an off white or almond color.PROS:1) Villeroy & Boch is a quality brand and this is top quality linen. The hemmed edges are lovely. If you're okay with the cons then consider this purchase. If you need a lower maintenance tablecloth don't buy linen. In the end I repurposed this tablecloth into an extra bedsheet! It's especially useful in hot summer weather, like now. The dimensions are similar to a twin top sheet, or ideal for one person. Since I didn't like the Dove Gray color I dyed a pattern into the fabric using the "shibori" dye method (a kind of Japanese tie dye). I absolutely love my bedsheet now, but did not find this useful as tablecloth.

Great purchase!
I ordered these because I’m a private chef and have a high-end client. We wash them frequently and they have not faded too bad. Love the quality. They do need to be pressed just be aware of that and they’re nice and large to start and they do shrink a little. I plan to purchase more in other colors.

Nicely made, but thin
I was looking for a nice, heavyweight linen tablecloth for my dining room table. This tablecloth is not heavy linen -- it is see-through. The fabric is thinner than all my linen napkins and even my linen blouses. The finish details are nice. It wrinkles quite a bit when washed -- but that is no surprise as it is linen, and that is what linen does.I will use it, but will need to have a white tablecloth as a "slip" underneath it.

Elegant
This is a gorgeous table cloth made of fine linen. It looked great on my Thanksgiving table with the matching napkins. The sizes are great--a have a very long and narrow table and this one worked well. I've tried dozens of table cloths and they often look cheap, probably because they're made of polyester. This one requires a little more care but it's totally worth it. Right after the meal, I sprayed a little oxyiclean on the stains and popped it in the washer. The stains came right out. You will have to iron the table cloth to make it look its best.

Shrinks
This is a nice tablecloth, but after washing, it shrunk to about 60" by 84" (almost exactly the size of my table).

Pretty but not thick. Ok for napkins, but don’t get a table cloth.
I thought these napkins would be more densely woven, they are pretty much see-through. Otherwise, they are a beautiful piece. But if the corresponding table cloth is made of the same loosely woven fabric, I would not purchase it.

Good quality
Dunno what I expected but the linen is quite rough, and not being a high class lady, I don't know if rough napkins across the lips is acceptable lol. However they're quality and will do the job.

Sheer but stains clean off well
It is quite sheer. My table is light wood and it still shows through. Having said that, it looks rather ugly on its own but once the table was set up, it looked quite wonderful and the sheerness looked quite nice. It is not something I would leave on my table unless the whole table is fully set. I suppose being of thinner material meant that it dried fairly quickly. My guests had spilt drops of red wine on it over the course of dinner. By the time dinner was over, it was a good 4 hours later. It was put in the wash (cold) and left overnight as everyone went to bed. The wine stains were still visible the next morning so I rubbed stain remover on it and threw it in for a second cold wash. It came out stain free the second time round. I think it would have been fine in the first wash if the hubby had thought to apply stain remover on it. So stains are removed fairly easily I’d say. But it is sheer so for that it loses a star.
