It ain't what I had hoped it would be.
Without a doubt the most aggravating piece of junk I've ever had in my workshop. The saw guides are made of flexible plastic that bind on the upper saw frame and make cutting miters a chore. When the first set broke after only a few months of use, the retailer from whom I bought it directed me to the manufacturer; and after a couple of weeks dealing with them in Sweden, I finally was directed to another US retailer who had replacement parts. The replacement guides are the same. While the index is very accurate and parts mitered do fit tightly, it's the maddening binding that puts this in the category of 'I wish I hadn't bought it'. Maybe the more expensive versions are better, but I didn't want to spend that kind of money. I brought out my trusty wooden miter box, dusted it off and haven't used anything else since. The Nobex went to a Goodwill store; maybe whomever buys it will have better luck with it than I did.

Apologies to Lee Valley
I can't find the review I wrote about the Nobex miter saw, but I purchased it from Highland Woodworking NOT from Lee Valley. Highland tried to make it right but I am still left with a piece of junk that doesn't work. The soft metal on the black moveable bar is way under engineered. 4 screws are supposed to secure the chrome uprights to the bar, but the screws strip out the soft metal rendering it useless for miter cuts. Also, the weird clamps that are supposed to secure the wood to the miter box don't work. Made in Sweden? If you plan on buying one, keep the shipping boxes. Highland won't refund your money for this piece of junk unless you ship it back.Mark Prather

Highly Accurate - Perfect Miters
This is very well designed tool that’s light years beyond a using a miter box and a backsaw.Several detent stops for cutting different angles locate solidly. The fine blade produces cuts that are so smooth that they hardly need sanding. I often break this out instead of using my chopsaw.
