Q: can this be used on regular household plug ins?

Yes, it can be used on regular 110V household plugs. However, it will not heat higher than about 220 degrees. I fought with Tamiko for months about the temperature and just could not get them to understand that I wanted the griddle to get much hotter than 220 degrees. They agreed to send me a new product if only I would pay the shipping to return the old, defective one and to receive the new one. The shipping costs were going to exceed the cost of a new griddle so I chalked it up to lessons learned. My Tamiko griddle now resides at the local landfill.

Yes. Would get no hotter than about 275 degrees

Q: since it's rated at 3000w, but only does 1500w at 110, can i use 220v to get the full 3000w?

This product is a piece of junk. I could never get mine to get above 200 degrees.
