Easy, inexpensive upgrade to your bike
Very easy to install. Based on a suggestion, I sprayed hair spray inside the new grips before sliding them on. It is supposed to help slide the grip on easier and also dry tacky to help keep them in place. Worked great for me. I love the grips! They look great and very grippy without being sticky. I believe they also help reduce vibration.

The coolest motorcycle grips around
I've bought a set of these for every bike I've owned, most recently for a Harley Sportster 48 Special. They look extremely cool, they are very grippy and offer significantly more cushion than stock grips, and the price is right. The rubber will break down over time and they eventually wear down after a few seasons of riding, but they are very easy to install and replace. I love the attitude they convey, while the black ones are not immediately noticeable on the bike, once you spot them and see they have the same grip pattern as Vans' classic skate shoes, you can't un-see them. They also come in quite a few other colors if you want a pop of color, but be aware that the non-black options will discolor over time from your gloves. If you're going for a California/surfer/skater-punk vibe on your bike, these are the best grips for that look.

GET THESE!
These grips are beautiful, super sticky, and very comfortable, these help with the vibration a lot if you own a Harley like myself. Fit perfectly on my 1in burly bars

Fit and feel great
Put these on an 03 sportster. They feel great. Have ridden a couple thousand miles and they still look and feel new. Fit 1 inch bars great. They are a nice soft rubber. Very grippy. Got the black ones but the other colors look good too

I feel I have more control of my motorcycle!
I was surprised that the skater shoe icon now makes motorcycle grips! Maybe the rubber compound for the soles of the shoes is the same as these grips? I'm not a skater and have never owned a pair of Vans...until now. But grips? I liked the look of these and the texture looked nice and "grippy." My '77 Sportster had the OEM rock-hard rubber "grips" (note the apostrophes?), which are slippery, transmit every vibe coming out of that hard-mounted ironhead and the diameter is just too large. They look great in a judged show, but out riding, you're hangin' on for dear life! I ordered a set of these Vans in 1" size of course. The wrong size (7/8") arrived. Returned. Next day, a replacement in 1" arrived! Now these do not just "slip on." I use WD-40 to spray under old grips to remove them but do not like to use that method for installation, as I don't want them to slip. And these are stretchy, but a bit too small. And putting them on was a royal bitch! But once on, I liked the feel of the material, the moulded pattern, the diameter. As small a detail as this is, I feel I have more control of my motorcycle. And I like that they're made in America!
