Dorohedoro, Vol. 1 (Volume 1)

I decided to try the manga. Great 90's art style and there's a lot in the manga that didn't make it to the series. I'm definitely a fan of old school anime and manga so the Viz Signature edition floats my boat. Just dive in... Take a chance! If you enjoyed the series you definitely won't be disappointed and will want the whole set.

The anime is great, but due to some translation issues, and some missing details that are not the case with the manga, it is far stronger and more consistent in terms of writing and execution. I have read as far as volume 5 or 6 at this point, and aside from a few slight oddities in the translations of certain names, the manga is a far better experience all around.

Really, really good Manga series. It has EVERYTHING you could possible want:-Violence-Lizard head freaks-magic mushrooms (yeah no kidding)-little skull faced demon children-baseball-mystery-different dimensionsAll that cool stuff.Buy it nerds.

I decided to give this a manga a shot after I saw a picture of Shin and Noi on an online art website, the interesting characters made me curious and after I read a couple of chapters online I decided to buy it. And I gotta say, this is definately one of the better female created manga's I've ever read, second only to Hiromu Arakawa. The art work is gritty, each character a joy to read, though it is a dark story it often has some light undertones, as well as a wicked sense of humour. I can't wait to read the next volume! I recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror-style stories, work by Q. Hayashida and for anyone who enjoys reading awesome lizard-headed guys with a sense of humour.
