Matte doesn't transfer well, but shiny works well
I'm disappointed that half of my purchase doesn't work well enough to use for my wedding invitations. The matte was patchy in application. I used the same method and setting for all invitations, and the same type of paper. You can see that the silver matte is patchier than the gold shiny in the pictures I'm sharing.I used the WMRK foil quill (standard tip) with my Cricut Explore Air 2, which I understand to be a compatible hot foil system. I used washi tape to secure the foil on my paper (~65 lb cover weight), and I set my cricut material type to heavy cardstock.I'm very happy with the way the shiny metallic turned out. I would recommend purchasing the shiny foil separately, and avoid the matte foil.

Works great with hot foiling AND double adhesive paper
I like the Glimmer system because the foil is very reasonably priced, as well as working well for hot foiling. But did you know you could use up your scraps with double sided adhesive paper? Here I used a die cut, but you could also cut out images/words with a cricut or pair of scissors. Stick it to your paper, then take off the top layer and stick your scrap pieces onto the top sticky layer. I learned this with deco foil, but it works with this too. Haven't tried Glimmer with laser prints through the laminator, but wouldn't be surprised if that worked too!

Save your money
This is horrible foil. I tried different heat settings and it stuck onto the entire page. Even where there was no toner. This may need an extremely low heat but I can’t get this to work!Picture: used 3 different heat settings even the lowest on my machine didn’t work.

Works as long as temp is under 300
I was going to return these, but after looking online I found that they work best when used under 300f. anything higher and its going to stick to everything including toner. I use these to make holo resin inserts. I was originally going to knock off stars but, after finding out how to use these with minimal issues, I changed my mind. If you’re going to get these, know that you need to set your temp to under 300 or do like I do and set your laminator to 3mil. Attaching a photo showing that you can get these to work with the lower temps.

Not for Foil Quill
I was so excited to find this product! It’s a pretty iridescent opal color and a great price. Ultimately, I didn’t work well at all with my Foil Quill like the other reviews I read suggested so I ended up returning it.

Did not foil well
I question whether this is the real thing. I have the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system and using the foil that came with it, the images came out perfect. Using this, they had lots of spots that did not transfer. I also tried this with my Foil Quill and also got poor results.

Foil sticks all over the paper, even without toner/ink
This hot foil didn't work very well. It would leave behind pieces all over the paper even on parts that didn't have any toner or ink on it. Other brands like Heidi swapp and deco foil are much crisper and don't leave a messy background. I recommend trying those brands.

garbage ...get deco foil instead.
the foil coating disentigrates easily (rubs off like powder) it does not cleanly transfer .. unusable

Beautiful foils, nice colours.
Loved the colour of this, the gold is a nice shade, not too brassy, and I like the brushed and shiny versions of the same shade. You could use both on a detailed design and it will tone properly.
