You will laugh out loud
This play, while taking the time to celebrate the joys of feminism, never takes itself too seriously. It points out that, yes, even feminists have their quirks and flaws. But to classify it only as a feminist work is limiting -- yet that's what many try to do.This book is a collection of hilarious skits that make fun of life while celebrating it at the same time. The stand-outs: Syvvie and Maddie, a section about two older Jewish women who decide to fill their extra time by taking some "women's studies" classes at the local University -- only they believe women's studies to be things such as how to sew or making a delicious casserole; Kris and Jeff, a date between an insecure frat boy and a ditzy blonde; and Period Piece, a selection that -- well, you'll just have to read it for yourself.Even if you're not a feminist, this play will still make you laugh. I cannot give it a high enough recommendation. If you liked Saturday Night Live in the good old days, then you'll love this play!

Awesome show!
A local non-profit is doing this play here in Baltimore, and we are having so much fun with it. Kathy Najimy and Mo Gaffney are great writers, performers and people! If you are looking for a show for women, with minimal costumes and sets, this is perfect for you!

Great additions to the original script
Worked on this show many years ago. Ordered a new copy for our local play reading group.Great additions to the original script.

Quite Raunchy Except for "God"
Most of skits have lots of foul language and inappropriate sexual connotations, making it quite raunchy overall. I was hoping to use this book for middle school and high school forensic pieces. Almost all of the skits would have to be edited considerably in order to to useable with teens. However, the skit entitled, "God", is quite entertaining and surprisingly clean compared to the other skits.
