Well-organized and full of insights
After about a year of dabbling with CrossFit, I finally started training consistently a few months ago. Until now, I mostly read short blog posts on BOXROX and similar sites to keep myself motivated and learn more. With this book, I finally feel like somebody has put in the effort to organize all of this information in one place. The author is not reinventing the wheel, so if you are very experienced, you may know many of the suggestions from this book. For me however, it gave me a lot of new ideas about ways to become better. The Training section was particularly helpful. The author breaks down the training into three components: strength, skills and conditioning. He then proceeds to describe the best ways to develop each of the three: namely, structured and varied strength training (which I know from my previous experience with lifting weights), repetitive reinforcement for skills training (I was seriously neglecting this, omitting important movements for weeks at a time), and intervals/progressions to improve conditioning.Overall an enjoyable read with plenty of helpful tips I will try implementing in my training.

Highly recommended for readers hoping to improve their CrossFit performance
Bought this recently published book in August 2017 as I am interested in improving my performance in CrossFit which I took up in 2016. Overall, I was very impressed with the insights and tips provided in this book and am certain that they will help me achieve better results in my WODs going forward. The book is easily read and well structured so one can quickly find information that one wishes to refer to. Highly recommended.

Very helpful
I've been searching for reference material that can take me to the next level of Crossfit performance for some time. I'm glad to say this book is exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to compete in the next Open armed with this books teachings.

Listen to your coach instead
Even as a beginner, there is nothing outstanding in this book to improve my game. Nothing that my coaches haven’t already taught me.

Don't waste your money!
Contains a basic summary of what anyone with any common sense would have figured out within 3 months of starting crossfit. Training advice: practice your weaknesses (duh!) Diet advice: Go paleo or follow zone diet Recovery advice: Sleep more. I am bitterly disappointed. AVOID!

Very helpful for people starting out in Crossfit
This is a thoughtful book which covers every aspect of training I can think of. It gave me a useful framework for adding things on top of the regular WODs in my box. I am sure most Crossfit athletes will find something useful in this book that they haven't thought about before.

Excellent simple guide for the CrossFit Open
The provision of benchmark numbers was particularly useful. I liked the way the author analyses previous Opens and identifies the important exercises to train.
