How thick is the blade and how heavy is the machete?

I an not sure how thick , I am in lawn care and this machete is perfect nice balance and a very good edge, I would buy it again!!!!!!

Let me guess, the saw on the back of the blade is completely useless?

No it actually is on of the few blades that made the saw side useful .. I mean it will work you but it does get the job done
