Very convenient. We attached it to the posts of our deck. It works very well.

This is actually built of metal and has a nice paint or powder coating on it.It seems well built and works great for the first month it is on the pool.I wish it was even heavier duty but so far it is miles above the cheap plastic ones that degrade and become brittle in the sun.

I had a previous composite solar cover roll up kit and it was became a major pain in the pool. Had become difficult to roll up the solar blanket. This one is sooooo much better. The higher profile and ball bearings in the handle and other end make it so much easier to get the blanket off of the water. Then also much easier to unhook from the bases that are fastened to the pool decking to swing the entire assembly away and off the pool. Only little difficult part was getting the poles to the correct length for the solar cover and then putting the cover on the pool. Wish I had found this roller assembly years ago.

The description did not state that this does not come with provided rod to roll the pool cover up on. This is literally to cheaply made mounts, one with a roll up handle and the other with just a bearing. It also does not come with any straps to fix the pool solar cover too, so even if it did have the long tube, no straps for securing the cover to initiate the roll up.

Not as strong as I hoped it would be. Two of the plastic strap binders broke off in the first two weeks of use, and we still have to lift up the whole thing and move it off the pool. That takes two people; it can't be done with only one person unless you want to drop it in the pool. What I did like is how easy it was to roll up and unroll the cover before the binders broke.

Expected the base and the mast only. Came with everything including the straps to attach the cover. Very happy

Works fine. Did not know that the tube needs to be bought separate (and it is more than the base reels system). Should somehow let the buyer know you don’t get the tube with the cost you see.
