This pony knows quite a few tricks! A new petting zoo has opened in River Heights. Nancy, George, and Bess can't wait to check it out -- the zoo has the cutest shetland pony named Buttons. And it looks like the Clue Crew won't have to wait very long to get a glimpse of Buttons -- he keeps escaping from his pen and showing up all over town! He's getting pretty famous for eating the flowers in everyone's front lawns. As much as Nancy secretly wishes Buttons would turn up on her lawn, she knows it's important to make sure he stays put. The only trouble is, no one knows how he's getting out. Sounds like it's time for the Clue Crew to saddle up and settle this pony problem! Review: Great Chapter Books for your Young Reader! - We are always looking for chapter books for our daughter (age 7). She has always been an excellent reader reading well above her age group and gets through books quickly. That is great, but challenging when trying to keep up with her and looking for good chapter books for her age. We focus primarily on positive stories and avoid series with less appropriate language or attitudes. The Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew series has been great. It is a fun reboot of the old Nancy Drew stories brought into the present day with more up-to-date stories and technology. They have fun little mysteries focused on younger kids. My daughter has been going through these like water. They keep her interest and really entertain her. The nice thing is that this series has a lot of books available already (40 at the time of this review and more coming) and several collections of multiple books sold at a discount. We always run out of books, so a big series like this is great. Highly Recommended! We are always looking for more chapter books for girls in this age group so here is a list of what we have enjoyed that focus on positive stories in case you are looking for a new series to try: 1) Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew (Mysteries) 2) The Puppy Place (For your Pet Lovers) 3) Anna & Elsa (Frozen Series) 4) Never Girls (Disney Fairies Series) 5) Whatever After (Princess Series) 6) Tales From Pixie Hollow (Older Disney Fairies Series) 7) Rainbow Magic (Fairy Series for Younger Readers) 8) National Geographic Readers (Non-Fiction, not really a Chapter book but a great way to break into non-fiction) Review: Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #3 "Pony Problems" - Great Series!! I purchased Books 1-8, for an 8-year old...she absolutely loves them. She enjoys reading, and since she is required to read 30-minutes every night for school, the chapter books come in very handy. She often finds herself reading more than 30-minutes, because she wants to finish a certain chapter, etc. The stories are great, fun, interesting, the illustrations are okay. She looks forward to following the main characters throughout the different series. Also worth mentioning, is the "activity" page within the books; they are projects that can be done later if interested, and if you enjoy doing some craft with your little ones every once in a while, it's a nice addition (sometimes she wants to do them...thankfully not always). Highly recommend the books, and will definitely be purchasing additional series. Pony Problems (Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew #3)

Great contemporary Nancy Drew.
My nine year old grand daughter loved this book. She read the entire series. This is geared mostly to younger girls; whereas, the older versions are for tweens. She will get those next. This series is more contemporary, which is great for the upcoming generation.

Grandma Loves Books
I am the Grandma who not only encourages my grandchildren to read, but I also make sure to provide them with new reading material on a regular basis. I was unaware of this new series of Nancy Drew books for the younger girls but found them to be just perfect for two little girls on my list who have recently started reading chapter books. The illustrations are age appropriate and appealing. I've purchased #1 - #5 and will be purchasing a few more for the next gift giving occasion.

7 year old loved it
I didn't find the story too compelling but for my 2nd grader it was fine. She was able to read it on her own in a few days.

Nancy Drew Clue Crew
My granddaughter was having difficulty with reading, and it was hard to get her interested in any stories, as she was 8 years old, and not into baby books any longer, and other books were too hard for her to read or to comprehend. But when I found the Nancy Drew books and they were about an 8 year old who solved mysteries, we finally found something that held her interest and was in her age range. We read these books together, and discusss each chapter she reads, and try to solve the mystery ourselves. We are now into our 3rd book of the series, and we look forward to our daily reading together.
