As a seasonal professional in the meat cutting industry (deer processing) I've gotten used to using the right thing for the job--and these bags worked quite well as I expected when we processed our own pork recently. They are a bit on the large size so you can actually get right around a pound and a half in each bag which is perfect for our use. There are lines on the back of the package so you have a reference for how full you want the bag (1lb, 1&1/4lb etc.). Overall very good product and we will probably purchase again.
