Nice book
Bought this book as a Christmas gift for my Dad. He was very pleased, he shifting through the pages ready to sit down and read and to check out the many pictures.

A Photographic Wow
An excellent compendium of National League baseball in Philadelphia, "The Philadelphia Phillies" by Dick Rosen and Seamus Kearney is a must-read for the Phillies fan. With pictures of everyone from Al Reach and Harry Wright to Charlie Manuel and Jimmy Rollins, it is a virtually complete picture history of the team. The only photo I really missed was that of George Brett of the Royals lying on the ground, flattened by Dickie Noles in the turning point of the 1980 World Series. Even without that one, though, there are enough great pictures here to satisfy even the mose ardent Phillies aficionado. It's got Hugh "Losing Pitcher" Mulcahy and Gerry Nugent, the Whiz Kids of Roberts, Hamner and "Puddin' Head" Jones, on up through Schmidt, Carlton and Rose, to Citizens Bank Park and Brad Lidge. If you follow the Phillies, you'll really want this one.
