Horse Diaries #4: Maestoso Petra

It's such a nice idea to have the horses tell their own stories, but it's not without bittersweet moments of sadness when the poor animals are confronted with people's power over them.

My 5 year old reads above average and asked me to purchase these books she currently on book 9 after receiving them the beginning of December.She loves to read and she reads everything, Its problem borrowing books from the library she always wants to keep them, I find myself purchasing books every few weeks.The stories are wonderful and she enjoys all the characters, the setting of the story and the images.She just enjoy the series I purchased the frist book during the summer and she asked me to purchase the series for the holiday when shes off from schoolThank you Horse Diaries

My daughter loves this series of books! She is crazy about horses and particularly likes the fact that these books are told from the horse's perspective! It is sometimes very difficult getting kids to read - I have found books that utilize animals as characters are very engaging for young readers. My daughter also loves that each book has a different author because she feels it gives the reader more variety with the characters especially since each story is told by a horse. Happy reading!

It was sad, and happy. I love this book because it had alot of exciting parts in it. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves horses.

My 9 year old daughter loved this book, just as she loves the others in this series! We have several of them, but she asks for the rest of the books when she sees that I'm on Amazon. One thing she particularly likes about them is that the stories are told from the horses perspective;she has told me that several times.

My daughter got the first 3 of this series for her birthday. I was a little concerned that she wouldn't like them because her reading level is above that of the book. But, the stories made up for the easy reading. She loves them. She has since ordered #4 and #5 of the series and loves them too!

Very interesting story! Very detailed and perfect for my 12 years old daughter! She is a horse mad girl and this was a very good late birthday present. I read some pages too and is very good! I think every horse lover should have at least 3 books from this edition! She likes the most that this book is about Spanish riding school because she saw the show in Vienna.

A lovely short story based on the real life of the wonderful Lippazana. Stallions who still Tour giving there Magnificent performance which I go to see every year loved having the story told from the Horses Mouth *****
