Great history introduction for the appropriate age group. My grandkids loved it and were full of questions afterwards, Get it!

Grandson who loves graphic novels read this book with interest & learned a lot.

Marcia Williams' wit and literacy never falter. Another top purchase!

My son had to write a paper on slaves in Rome. He is a sixth grader. This topic is hard to find in books. He found all the details he needed here and more. Funny illustrations and little details of life are well researched. A great gift and great resources. My only complaint are the bubbles for dialogues. The author could have done better. That's because he went for humor.

Now this is a fun way to learn. I'm pretty sure I have heard of books from Marcia Williams before to learn about history. However, I think this is my first experience. A neat adventure to the past. intriguing illustrations filled with color, a fabulous font provides a plethora of facts. Wonderful for students. Hours could be spent again and again dwelling on these pictures filling the mind. Again, a very fun way to learn.
