To Flat or Not To Flat
Very decently made flat CAT 7 cabling. For some reason the order I received had white cable instead of the black as shown. That actually turned out to be a good thing though, as the room I installed this in has white primer over the drywall and the color of this cable blends right in. This cabling makes it extremely easy to deploy Ethernet for short runs as it is much easier to staple into place and is very low profile. The cable comes with about a dozen cable clips with nails included.I think that the jury is still out in regards to quality of transmission in flat Ethernet cabling vs. round. Without being able to see the inside of the cable it is difficult to tell what type of shielding it provides. There is no obvious difference in transfer speeds, but you would need to be moving a LOT of data in order to notice a difference anyway. For now, I think that flat Ethernet cabling like this is fine for home installations. I would not yet recommend it for business, government or corporate use as of the moment though. The fact that companies like Belkin are not jumping on the flat Ethernet bandwagon as of yet is reason enough to be cautious. The build quality of this particular cable is good. I would not say that it is great though. It is kind of difficult to judge how effective the strain relief is on these types of cables as I do not have a lot of field experience with them as of yet. For the moment I would probably tend to use this in areas where cables are not being swapped all that often.

Refreshingly thin, and supplied with retaining clips
Until you receive this item, you may not appreciate the compact way that this 20M roll can be stored when not in use. Would love to replace a lot of gnarly old ethernet cable around here if not for the hassle factor.Installed as a cable run from basement to first floor to a desktop - and needed every centimeter of cabling to do it. Worked fine, though admittedly, this was not a very robust test given that it's a desktop-to-desktop scenario, and the NIC device in one of the desktops has unimpressive speeds.Meanwhile, waiting 10GbE at home? Well, join the club. AFAIK, this still requires relatively specialized hardware -- connectors, switches and NIC cards (remember those?). Since that test environment is not available, there's no comment on it here. Instead it's recommended for compactness and manageability for this distance at 1 gigabit.Suggest reading Wikipedia on the subject of Cat7 standards.Meanwhile, suggested uses would include router to access point and WAN to router connections. Don't own it yet, but am planning to upgrade to Behringer Darwin audio-over-ethernet, and this product should work well there as well.

Almost perfect
This is working very well for us. While we do use wireless for some things, we prefer cable for others. We wanted this long one to replace an older cable we're using to go from the router to the computer we have hooked up to the TV where we keep all our movies. Transferring large digital files over wireless can be problematic.Being flat, it just looks a lot nicer than a round cable, but that might be personal preference. In this case, however, we took it up through the floor routing along the basement ceiling. It comes with a huge wad of single nail-down clamp things. It's been consistently free of issues since we got it set up. My only issue is possibly something that could never be solved for any cable - the port lock lever protector is made of a less than pliable plastic. It's a decent protector, but it's going to get broken off. That's the only thing keeping it from a 5 star for us.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Long Enough for Most Uses; Not Bulky; Works Good
I like to keep a variety of lengths of Ethernet Cables, as I never know when I might want to relocate something. Unfortunately most long cables tend to take up a lot of space. This flat cable is much more compact. The flat design makes it nice to place up against a wall and there are included mounting clips for a wall or baseboard, that have a small nail that you just hammer in. I don't know what the maximum length limit is for Ethernet. I suspect that after a certain length, speed might be impacted, but I didn't see any degradation in speed or performance with this over 65 foot long cable. I am very satisfied with this and while I don't quite yet need a cable this long, I may some day. If you don't need the full length, it is very easy to coil up a portion of the cable; easier than round cables. I like it and would buy this again if I should need another.

Cat7, flat LAN network cable that works perfectly!
The Jadaol Cat7 Ethernet Cable 65 foot is great for those installing lengthy cables to a wall port or into modem, console, switch, etc. Or those who need to run a network printer at a farther location in your building. Works perfectly! The cables provides a performance up to 600 MHz and can be used for fast ethernet, gigabit ethernet, 10-Gigabit Ethernet and more. And the company offers a lifetime warranty - free replacement and apparently they also have 24-hour technical support which is great!Because these are flat, makes it easier to run through and have them covered easily (doesn't stick out so much), especially if you get the white version. But overall, this Cat7 network cable works perfectly! Recommended!
