This product was well thought out and made to work perfect without a lot of adjustments. My zero turn mower hauls this thing all over my four acre property.

Received the tow bar yesterday. Takes about 5 minutes to assemble. I have 2 issues that have been pointed out that needs to be addressed by the company. First and foremost, the bar from the handle to the tow bar doesn't hold and the chipper will slip back and drag while towing. I have to attach a bungie or rope to hold it in place. The locking bolt needs to be modified to better hold the position. The second issue is the fit around the axel and handle. I realize it is designed to fit numerous makes of chippers so it is loose fitting. A thin piece if padding of some sort could be added to the kit at minimal expense. Over all, the tow bar seems to work and it sure beats pushing a heavy chipper around several acres of property.

I replaced the two upper (handle) pins with 1/4-20 cap screws and cut 4 inches off the inner rod to increase the tilt angle. I added some rubber padding to the top and bottom attachment points... anything will do even some old rubber garden hose. Also I locked the adjustment knob and jam nutted it tight. No need to mess with that once the tilt angle is set. When you need to run the chipper, unhitch it from the tractor and run it level. I'm using the harbor freight predator chipper. Great value and not worth my time to build from scratch. Expect minor modification going into the purchase.

This product was made well enough to be adaptable for a variety of chippers. It goes together fairly easily and makes it easy to hook up to a yard tractor or mower and drag your shredder where you want it instead of trying to push or pull it where your stick pile is.

The "clamps" that go over the pull bar and axle don't clamp on, they just fit over with pins to keep it from coming off. Because of the loose fit the tow bar rattles around like crazy and can slide to either side of the chipper. Additionally, the slide pole that allows you to tile the shredder towards the ATV only tilts it so that the back rests are about 4-5" off the ground and if you go over any larger bump or swell in the ground the rests will dig in and cause the whole shredder to bounce like crazy. I cut the slide pole down about 3" and now I can tilt the machine much further to keep it from dragging. I'm also planning to add some foam in the attachment points to make it more secure to keep the bouncing down. Lastly, the hand-screw to tighten the pole in place came undone on me twice. I'm going to add nurls or a divet in the slide pole to keep it from popping out. None of this is a problem if you are only pulling it with a lawn mower across an even grassy surface. I use it to pull along my trails to chip the little things as I get there and while this manages to do the job, "sketchy" doesn't begin to cover it. I don't have any regrets but it was definitely different than I had envisioned it.

The turn knob that screws into the pipe and holds the shaft in place would not screw into the pipe. There is a nut welded onto the pipe and the turn knob would screw into that but it appears that the weld seeped onto the exit of the nut. I couldn't even force a bolt through there. It will not function if you can't hold the shaft within the pipe. I got a refund because it isn't absolutely necessary to have one and I didn't want to hassle with it again.

I have a two acre lawn with trees. The chipper alone is heavy and difficult for me to drag around. This allows me to let my garden tractor do the work.

i like the the ability to tow behind my ridermower, but the bar kit slides back and forth on the shredder handle and axle. i will have to add some kind of centering stops.
