Love this book! I homeschool a reluctant writer, but he seems to enjoy this book.

Purchased all 1st grade workbook for summer review.

Good workbooks. My 7 year old enjoys the writing and getting to use his imagination. He has enjoyed work through this book.

I'm a fan of this series overall and we've had a good experience with other grade levels.Like other reviewers, I find the words used in this book to be a little advanced for first semester First Graders which is why I waited to use it until the second semester (words like "coin"; the oi sound isn't taught until later.)The very first page asks students to circle the nouns amount other words on a page. Included on that page are the words float and walk. Float and walk can be both verbs and nouns (i.e. parade float and Breast Cancer walk). This is extremely confusing for students just learning the parts of speech and no mention of the dual usage of these words is ever made.

Great book.
