Save, Spend, or Donate?: A Book About Managing Money (MONEY MATTERS)

Great book to launch a conversation about finances with kids
I read this to a 2nd grade class and it was a big hit. The kids had tons of questions - about allowance and credit and gifting. A lovely book to start a conversation with kids (who BTW pretty much are set on how they feel and think about money by the time they are 7)

Nice book about managing money for kids
My 9 year old daughter rented this all on her own from the library - she was able to read the book in 2 short sittings. The author writes a nice and relatable story about a brother and sister who learn about the importance of working to save money. One saves, the other doesn't. There are some consequences for each child ... maybe congress should read this book ...But what impressed me about the book was that the author included remembering to donate resources as well. This to me is something that is missing from our vocabulary. The children learn to plan to donate, not just give out of excess. A great lesson. The illustrations are good too, although for some reason my daughter thought the mom looked like a teenager. go figure.
