Ikea 602.651.63 Bolmen Slip Resistant Step Stool, 9 7/8-Inch

Ikea step stools are the best stools for little kids. I bought this one (on Amazon) and the taller version from the Ikea store ($16) when my toddler turned 2 and I was potty training him. The taller version I got from the Ikea store has the slip guards in black. The bottom of these stools have slip guards at the bottom of each leg which prevents slipping. We have wood floors in other parts of our house and I don't have to worry when my toddler uses this on the wood since it has the slip guards which protects the stool from scratching our floors. The top of the stool has slip guards to prevent someone from slipping off the top if it becomes wet. Both the left and the right sides of the stools have two holes where fingers can fit for lifting and moving around. I love the quality of these - they are very sturdy and made of thick hard plastic (they don't warp or bend like some of the thinner plastic ones) and you cannot beat the price. These are hands down the best stools I have used or have seen for kids.My toddler is 3 now and he still uses these for going to the potty and washing his hands. He also likes to move them around the house to help him turn on lights, and access things in higher places.These are great for adults too for reaching higher places. My cleaners regularly use them when they come over for dusting higher/hard to reach places.

Best stepstool ever. We have two of these in our home for different rooms (that we purchased originally from Ikea) and they’re perfect for our son. When I needed a third stepstool for Grandma’s house, this was an easy choice.The negative is the cost. When you go to an IKEA store and purchase it’s about a third of the cost of this stool. However, our nearest IKEA is an hour round trip. By the time I figured in travel time and general drama of traveling with a 3 yr old, plus the reality I would probably leave the store having spent WAY more than $30... yeah, I just bought it this way. If you’ve got a close IKEA, but it there. If not, save yourself the drama and Prime it. The stool is sturdy and awesome for kids and adults!

I love this step stool. We use it to get to top shelves in the kitchen and linen closets. My mom uses it to get into her high bed. May be too tall for potty training, but it's the perfect height for what we use it for. I'm just ordered my third one. Now we will have one on each level.

I bought this for my two year old for washing hands, brushing teeth, and getting onto the potty. I needed something taller than what is available. It came dirty and I cleaned it up but there is still a line of dirt around the top that won't come off. I don't have an ikea by me but I imagine they are cheaper in store. Overall it serves its purpose and am happy with it.

I bought this for my toddler to use to help him get on and off of the toilet by himself. It works well for this purpose and is wide enough for him to step up and turn around on it without falling off. It is lightweight and easy for him to move himself and he is on the small side. :) I am planning to order another one for our downstairs bathroom. This would also work great in a kitchen for kids to help out or to wash their hands.

I like this stool but it is not 12 inches tall. I measured it. However it is very sturdy, light and easy to carry around for my 6-yr-old. I use it often to reach high shelves and she can see to brush her teeth and wash hands.
