Great book but everyone in it is white.
I love to use these as creative writing assignments for my students. Unfortunately there aren't any people of color in these pictures. Granted, my children can color the people any color they want, but they certainly look white in the artist's renderings.

GREAT FUN Expansive Learning Tool
Great book to use for student learning and introducing the art of writing, comic writing and story telling. Also can be used to incorporate a moral, value or break bad habits of jumping to conclusions and making assumptions. This I did by presenting a page to students and having them assume by the expressions and body language of characters what might be taking place and then asked them to create a story opposite of what they are assuming so that they can see the danger in making assumptions about people, judging people without taking the time to ask questions and gain understanding first.

Fun!
Great Christmas presents. Son and daughter love them. They are big graphic novel fans and really enjoy making their own. My daughter also loved coloring hers in.

Great book for children with communication challenges
My child is autistic and has difficulty communicating his thoughts. This book has help with developing his communication and imagination. I photocopy pages from the book, rotate them so that he’s writing a different story for same page which helps his imagination and story telling.

Son loves it.
My son is a very reluctant writer, but he has been very creative with this. I wish there were more than just the two books available.
