Draw-TiteDraw-Tite 24956 Class 1 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4 Inch Square Receiver, Compatible with 2017-2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV.

Super simple installation due to how this hangs on the lower end of the bumper beam. You can not fit the hardware through the bolt hole of the hitch, so make sure you fishwire them up prior and pull them through. Took about 10 mins. to install, including cutting the small bit of facia. I used a pair of tin snips after marking out the piece with some tape and a pen.

Bought the hitch to hold a bike rack. Hitch went in very easily. Used a pair of drive up ramps to lift the rear of the Bolt. The instructions available on the hitch manufacturer’s website were very clear (the instructions may have also come packed with the hitch, but I familiarized myself with the downloaded instructions before I ordered the hitch). One thing I did a little differently than the instructions is that I completely cut the Bolt’s rear panel on the left and front sides of the specified 3”x5” area and only scored it on the right side so that the cut portion could be folded over on the right side and tucked under the hitch. This will allow the possibility of putting the cut portion back in place if I ever decide to remove the hitch. Total install took about 25 minutes. The hitch holds the bike rack well, but the rack itself has some side-to-side movement from the place where a pin can be removed to fold it down and allow access to the rear hatch. I’m trying to determine how to reduce that movement.

I installed this on my 2020 Bolt after initially installing the Chevy approved Curt hitch. The Curt Hitch bent on its first use, carrying only 80 lbs (bike carrier (20lbs) and two bikes (60 lbs)) on a 30 mile round trip. Curt hitch flexed a lot and I noticed that it transferred the flexing movement to the frame of the car. Which was absolutely disturbing as this would eventually lead to fatigue of the metal and hence cracking...This hitch (Draw-Tite) is absolutely solid! Plus it’s rated at double the weight limit of the Curt hitch. A much better design... not to mention it was easier to install.I would have gave it 5 stars, but they ship the hitch the same way all the other hitch companies do... and it arrived with some chipped paint down to bear metal. I expected this and touched up these spots with black primer. But I’m still disappointed that they ship the hitches the way they do.Other than that, Draw-Tite hitches are great and they are well thought out in design.

This hitch provides very good cross lateral support. It also was very easy to install requiring only minimal removal of fasteners from the bumper cover. It rides very steady.

A bit of a trick to lift into place. The hitch has to clear two metal tabs under the plastic bumper guard and then you have to maneuver the two hanging bolts through the mounting holes. First time install took me over an hour rather than the 20 minutes if you've done it a few times. Contrary to the Amazon "does it fit" your vehicle description this does fit the 2020 Bolt.

This one is much better than the one from GM! I use a double bicycle rack on my Chevy Bolt. If I had the factory one I couldn't carry two bicycles could only barely carry one because it's only rated at 100 lb. It's easy to install what will take you the most time is cutting the plastic bumper and getting it straight! This one is definitely the best hitch for your car!

this hitch fit perfectly and I had it installed at a RV repair shop and it only cost $60.00 it was a perfect fit and does not wobble around like the other brands make sure you get the exact one as this the bikie rack that goes into this hitch carries 200 pounds of bicycle

Took me and a friend 10 minutes to install this. Hardest part is cutting out the notch in the fascia. It's heavy so wrestling it into place may require 2 people. Especially with the "floating" carriage bolts Tip: leave the fish wire on the bolts and thread the wire through the hole in the hitch until you have the horizontal bumper bolts in place and finger tight. You'll need 2 hands to trap the carriage bolt while you thread the washer and nut on.
