The product is very easy to apply and I really liked the information in the Material Data Safety Sheet (MSDS) concerning toxicity and ability to correctly and easily dispose of unwanted material. I also ran a couple of test burns to evaluate the product's effectiveness. In this short video I used a standard propane torch as the heat source. The wood is 1/8" thick cypress. The wood is extremely dry. I selected the thin piece of wood as it should have caught fire, and continued to burn, in a shorter burn time. The piece of wood received a single coasting of the fire retardant. The wood definitely was charged and did flame. It is very obvious that once the heat source was removed the flame went out almost immediately. A contractor doing some work for me watched the test and was very surprised how quickly the flame was extinguished. I also conducted a second test using a piece of 3/4" rough surface cedar paneling, again very dry. The results were similar, although I had to apply a lot more heat to the surface to achieve significant charring. As with the cypress, the flames were extinguished within a matter of seconds. As the headline states, this is an exceptional product and well worth the price for the piece of mind it will provide.

So we are building an ADU. Our permits told us to buy sheetrock at 197 a piece that was fire retardant. We asked the inspector if we could use this and show him the can/bucket. He said "Yes". We sprayed this on with no issue and saved over $2900.00 on "Special" plywood. Thank you Have showed many of our contractors and they have purchased ever since.

I had an issue as I ordered the wrong item. When I Called them and we spoke they were extremely quick and accommodating. I remember telling him this is like customers service from way back, meaning you just don't find companies giving this level of customer service anymore. I highly recommend this company. I don't know if this works, but I have concerns... One it absolutely killed all green plant life I sprayed behind my fence, so I doubt it's non-toxic. Even if it is, what good is a fire retardant that creates a bunch of dry brush, where green plants previously were?
