The Rose of Tullymullagh
What a wonderful beginning story as brothers embark on quests to find their true loves! The Princess tells the story of Luc and Brianna. Princess Brianna's holding has been conquered by Gavin. However a boon has been granted by the conquerors, that Briana send his 3 sons on a quest and she'll marry the one who makes her laugh loudest and longest. Luc is the middle son, a disgrace to his father. He seeks only to receive the seal to the estate he's been overseeing for Gavin. The other 2 sons leave on the quest. Luc stays behind, concerned with a neglected orchard. As these two headstrong people interact amid concerns and mysteries, they have to decide what is more important, their personal vows or their growing feelings for one another. Will the mystery of the Rose of Tullymullagh advance their love or destroy them? You must read it to find out.

A wonderful tale!
Read this book if you are looking for a wonderful adventure, a clever story line and a beautiful romance. The author draws you in from the first page and keeps you enthralled until the very last. The characters are so vivid you feel that you know them personally and I dare you not to fall in love with them as their feelings for each other unfold. This book is so well written that you completely lose yourself in the pages and the lines between reality and the story vanish.

Good solid read
This story has solid characters and a good plot. Luc, the hero, has given up his knight's status in exchange for a simple life and he is less than thrilled to be called to his father's side to participate in a quest set by a spoiled nobleman. The nobleman is not spoiled and the two son become embroiled in some mysterious murders. Eventually all is solved and the story ends happily. The characters are interesting and the language is reminiscent of a medieval story

Ireland, Knights, Competition to Wed and Exciting Adventure Galore!
THE PRINCESS; THE BRIDE QUEST SERIES, BOOK 1 is a great example of why I love to read Claire Delacroix's novels! I value a well crafted historical setting, full of detail and vibrant color; with characters you become attached to, and feel drawn to or discover a strong enmity for! A plot that creatively drives you eagerly forward for MORE round out the general characteristics that make Claire's. work so appealing. Here you will find a medieval quest set mostly in Ireland. Three knightly brothers seek to win the hand of a Lord's beauteous daughter amid much deceit and controversy. I can't tell you more without risking your own discovery of THE PRINCESS for yourself! Read, relish and savor a great medieval tale!!

Not for young adults due to sexual content.
I liked the story, although some parts seemed unrealistic for those times. I kept reading, wanting to see who the villain was and if things worked out for the main characters. But then the two main characters were described in some detail as having a sexual encounter, and too much talk of it for me especially near the end. So I stopped reading at that point. The story was good without sex.

but she’ll only marry for true love. Brianna set a task for the brothers to ...
King Henry has decreed Princess Brianna of Tullymullagh must marry one of the sons of Gavin Fitzgerald the man who had conquered her family's castle, but she’ll only marry for true love. Brianna set a task for the brothers to compete for her hand in marriage to bring her a gift to make her laugh. Burke and Rowan Fiztgavin both knights set off on their quest knights at her command, but Luc Fiztgavin the eldest brother has no interest in a Princess bride he’s just a battle weary warrior vows to lay down his sword and find a simple life. He has no interest in a bride he feels there’s no place in his life especially for a princess. Luc stays behind and spends his time working on the poorly cared for orchard, but what he does not know is the orchard is near and dear to Brianna heart it was a favorite place of her mothers. Luc doesn’t expect to be attracted to Lady Brianna’s quick wit and charm to invade his senses and his soul. Luc and Brianna find that as they spend time together he’s insanely attracted and protective of her and Brianna finds the one man who will win her heart by making her laugh in the bride quest. Luc thought a princess had no place in the life until he was forced to take up arms to protect the fair Princess who had claimed his heart. A captivating story of an Irish Princess and a battle weary warrior. I love the story 5 stars!!!

Enjoyable, even though predictable
One of my favorite things about this book is that Delacroix develops the characters and the relationship of the H/h before they jump into bed. It is somewhat surprising that Gavin can be so knuckle-dragging brutish and have three such admirable sons but he apparently had very little to do with raising them. While it was fairly easy to spot the villains early on, that didn't detract from the denouement for me. It was also predictable that Luc would win fair lady's heart but he was such a love that it was pleasant to watch.

Goed wat ongebruikelijk verhaal
Een boek dient om te lezen, niet om onder een stoelpoot te leggen 😉

Comfortable
This was an enjoyable read. There was intrigue as well as suspense. At times there were hints as to what was coming next. Enjoyable to see if the reader guessed correctly.

Easy read story but a bit predictable
Enjoyable easy reading, rather predictable as the son who does not follow the quest wins the bride. A slight murder mystery adds intrigue and the romantic element keeps your interest
