MinouraDS-520 Bike Stand

Having five bikes, I'm always moving them around the house to store some away in the basement for the winter and bring some to the first floor for seasonal use. That means that I must store the bikes on stands, not only when I'm not using them, but when I'm inflating tires and preparing to go riding. For the first time I took this stand along in my vehicle to be able to stand my bike next to the vehicle while loading the trunk bag, putting on the computer, adding water bottles, etc. to get ready to road ride. This style of bike stand seemed to hold my bike more steady and balance it better than other designs I've used, so I'm making it my go to bike stand for these purposes. My other spring loaded bike stands are really great, but I find myself using this style of bike stand when not using a repair stand and when storing bikes in the house. It's sturdy, well-built, and holds the bikes upright effectively.

For the price, this is a nice little stand. It's well-made, feels sturdy and holds the bike securely by the chain-/seat-stays. This stand is made in China not Japan, but still feels solid.I have but two complaints: 1) I want to be able to hook the bike up on the non-drive side (to do small maintenance/lubing etc), but the lower chain-stay hook rubs against the spokes on the rear wheel preventing me from spinning the wheel. There's plenty of clearance on the drive side obviously, but then the stand gets in the way of any light mechanical work you may want to do. 2) The adjustment holes are sort of useless. There's really only one position that will fit a full-size road bike. I wish they just dotted the tube with adjustment holes so you could configure the hooks the best way that fits your bike.I could easily fix the spoke-touching issue if I were able to adjust the hooks individually and slide the stand closer to front of the bike, but I do not have the ability to adjust the spacing between the hooks in such a way that makes this possible. I will have to modify the lower hook (either filing it down, or cutting it shorter) so there is enough clearance that it doesn't interfere with the spokes. I would have given the stand 5 stars if it had the full adjustability. But after my modifications, it should work as designed.Overall, I'm happy I bought this stand for display purposes, as I never quite feel comfortable leaning the bike up against a wall.

I used this to build an entire road bike. Its GREAT! If you put a weight on the feet (I used sand bags which I happened to have) it holds the stand and bike very steady. I also use it now 24/7 for storing my road bike. My bike never falls over now. And that is with a 4 year old in the house too. I bought mine on sale at a bike shop. For me this beats spending $200+ on a pro bike stand.

Good stand. Keeps bike displayed nice and sturdy. Was somewhat disappointed it didnt have more holes drilled for different options, in adjusting the height. I made it work with the 4 holes provided (used 2) by twisting the hooks to where it would hold the seat and chain stay appropriately. 5 stars if it would have more holes drilled

Super easy setup

Klappbar und leicht ist das Ding, soweit, sogut. Für schwerere Räder allerdings auch viel zu grazil. Aber die Frage stellt sich, was man in die viel zu großen Haken reinhängen soll. Mountainbikes mit hinteren Scheibenbremssystemen und deren Zugleitungen verhindern die schadlose Aufbewahrung des Rades. Rennräder mögen passen. Die Mühe habe ich mir jedoch gespart. Einstellen lassen sich die zwei Haken in genau vier vorgegebenen (vorgebohrten) Stellenungen. Also auch ein "fail".Alles in Allem ist das Teil ziemlicher Mist und zudem wirklich billig in der Herstellung. Allerdings muß ich dazu sagen, daß mir alleine beim Wissen an "Made in China" das Wasser auf der Stirn steht. Weg damit ...

Bought this to replace my very cumbersome and awkward bike repair stand. This is very light, easy to transport. little expensive considering it's simplicity but well worth it and would recommend it to anyone who repairs their own bikes. only one word to describe it (Fantastic)

This stand will lift the rear wheel from the ground, meaning you can turn the pedals and chain on an eBike, ideal for oiling the chain. Our eBikes are very heavy and designed for long-distance touring. Lifting the back wheel to oil the chain required two people. This stand makes it a one-person job. Due to the weight of our eBikes, we needed to be careful the bike would not topple. For standard bikes, this wouldn't be a problem.This is a folding stand, so it's not that sturdy. We would have liked a way to lock it vertically; the bike does tend to lean a little. Other than that it does a great job.
