I can hear you!
I don’t normally give reviews, but I just have to. I purchased the Neosonic BTE Digital Hearing Amplifier about three days ago. Package came quick and the packaging of the product is like an expensive cell phone (very nice). I am a retired engineer and a disable vet, my hearing is not a crisp as it should be. Of the two my left ear is the worst. I have had my hearing tested and I am, according to the experts, border line for a hearing aid. To let you know that the only two things that are different from a hearing aid and a hearing amplifier is the word aid and the price. I took two days in reading all the reviews for all the hearing amplifiers that are on Amazon. That’s a lot of reading and if you are doing the same you will agree with me that you need to glean out the nuggets of sensible knowledge. So I pick this BTE device by Neosonic. I opened the box and (yes) read the instructions. It took longer to read the instructions and to get the tab pulled away from the battery then to get the device working. The result, well you remember the commercial for that cell service, “Can you hear me now?”; my answer is “Yes I can!”. I would like to make two points about hearing. Have your ears checked before you buy and clean the ear wax out of your ear. It’s like putting a wad of cotton in your ear and then you can’t seem to figure out why you can’t hear. Normally the high frequency in hearing goes first. That’s good news and bad news for men. The woman’s voice is higher in frequency then men’s, so if you can’t hear her (and you really want too) you should get an amplifier that boost the upper frequency’s. This one does. The volume goes from low to taking your breath away. The four filters work well and I can hear stuff that I have been missing for a long period of time. One thing that I should note is when you change the mode (filters) push the button and hold it down until the beep. Just clicking the button does not change the mode, wait for the beep. I have ringing in my ears and any amplifier will not remove that. Better hearing to all, John

Open Fit Hearing Amplifier that works well for me
I don’t write many reviews, but I felt I need to in my case. I am a retired older male with a long history of loud noise work exposure (before the time were hearing protectors available to me) I have moderate hearing loss and ringing in both ears, I use prescription hearing aids that were quite costly and do not use them on a regular basis. For the ringing in the ears I use headphones and "Elevator" quiet music frequently which helps me. I have used several open fit BTE hearing amplifiers over the years and found a few I like based on, comfort, convenience and cost. I read all of the Neosonic product questions(12-13) on Amazon, which addressed most of my concerns. I purchased the Neosonic BTE Digital Hearing Amplifier about a week ago. The product arrived and appears to meet my expectations as described in the seller'e advertisement. I opened the box, read the simple instructions (Which are very similar to others I already have). After measuring and trimming the air conduction tube to fit me, I inserted the battery and began to experiment with the device in my environment. All four programs work well, with an audible series of beeps for each mode. The volume rocker works easy and has plenty of volume. Some programs work better than expected. That annoying "White Noise" is not present for me. Ceiling and computer fan noise is acceptable, however electric room fan and automobile wind noise is bothersome no matter the mode. Loud dog barking is not a problem in most modes. I have experienced a limited amount of amplifier squeal / feedback and find it is usually my experimenting (having the volume too high trying to listen to very low sounds) I have experimented with program and volume quite a bit and found I can adjust them to better than average hearing for me most of the time and most situations. I like these better than any other Open Fit Hearing Amplifier that I have used to date. They work very well for me.

Amazing device for the money.
I love classical music. After inserting this device, I felt like I was sitting in a concert hall. I heard every instrument with crystal clarity. Subtle, quiet notes I had entirely missed before now were easy to hear. Blu ray sound went from being ok to spectacular; sound effects I had missed were now nearly as loud as thunder.Conversations are now a pleasure. Friends say I am talking much more quietly on the phone.I had had an entry level hearing amplifier before. Comparing the Neosonic device to it was like comparing a Bose wave radio to a cheap transitor radio from the late 1960's.This is a superior value for the money. I recommend to anyone with mild to moderate hearing loss.

I like the low price
I like the low price, but the ear domes & sound tube are a bit uncomfortable compared to flexible wires & cylindrical domes.

Wow... Considering the price as compared to ...
Wow... Considering the price as compared to those available at Costco, this makes it affordable to keep elderly dementia patient in touch with family. In the face of him frequently loosing the ear pieces. at $300 for the set, occasional replacement isn't unaffordable.Customer service at Neosonic is OUTSTANDING. When I replace my $1,800 units I'll be back for the higher end smaller units.

Awesome Customer Service - High Quality Product
These hearing aids are better than my $2000.00 + Costco brand (I returned them) which are already a great deal compared with other overpriced models. I like the simplicity of the design - one volume dial and one, easily accessible mode button with 3 choices (1/conversation 2/restaurant-public area 3/outdoor-wind-nature). Costco brand has a complex iPhone app which constantly interfered with my other Bluetooth devices and was very very annoying. One minor point is that being over 6'2'', it turns out that I need longer than average sound tubes and this is where Neosonic showed their true colors - John answered my call promptly and shipped the extra parts immediately. many thanks, John!

It works well
I bought this for my 100 year old uncle and he is hearing a lot better now. His old hearing aide didn't have as much volume as this hearing aide does. All of this for only a small price. I think this is a great product!
