"Freediving The Physiology" is a great read!!!
This book is a MUST read for anyone considering freediving---recreational or otherwise. The guidance (science) it provides is essential. It strongly emphasizes safety first while explaining the need to progress (dive deeper) at a rate which is safe and appropriate to the individual. Thank you Yannis!!!

Great content but lack of a functioning table of contents is unforgivable!
First up, the content in this book I found very interesting and comprehensive. I learnt a lot about how and why the body does what it does during apnea and freediving and it backs up a lot that I have already learnt. The information on safety is, as you might imagine, invaluable. However, there is one thing that detracts from this book (Kindle Edition) is the absence of a functioning table of contents! If it were a book of fiction I could care less but, as a text / reference book, it is basically useless if you have to trawl through endless page flipping or use guess work to find what your looking for.The content is very good, the illustrations are accessible on the Kindle too but navigation without a functioning table of contents is a serious drawback. I would expect the publishers to be aware of this and the author to be disappointed that their work has been devalued as a result.I can't give it five stars because of the usability issue but three would be too harsh.

So interesting
A basic knowledge of physiology is definitely an advantage to getting the most out of this book. I am exploring free diving and this has been invaluable in my decision to learn to free dive. An excellent interesting read
