6 Year Old Loves His New Booster Seat
I’m a mom of 3 boys, and I just bought a new mom car and decided to get my boys new booster seats (mainly because... new car, new me, right? Just kidding, my boys are 6, 8 and 10 and their old car seats/boosters were filthy and it seemed pointless to spend all this money in a brand new vehicle and put 5+ year old seats that have had every McDonald’s fry and snot bubble you can find wiped off on them through out the years.)Anyway, my 6 year old was previously in the Diono Radian RXT in the 5-point harness but he’s been pretty agitated that he was the only one still left in a car seat. If you’ve ever owned the Radian, you know that while they are amazing seats, they are HEAVY beasts and i just was not comfortable moving it or him into booster mode prior to getting this new vehicle, and I also felt like it would be a waste to purchase the newest version of that same seat just for the harness knowing how difficult it seems to be to install properly in booster mode. With that said, I immediately went to CSFTL and started researching the best new high back booster seats which is where I came across the Diono Cambria and Montgomery 2’s. I was super impressed with both, but decided on the Cambria since prime would get it to me in a day vs. the 1.5 week wait the Montgomery had. (I know, super scientific)The Cambria comes with latch straps that can be used at any weight the booster is used and helps to keep the seat in place, which is one feature I think needs to be standard for booster seats. It is much lighter than the Radian RXT, but I honestly wouldn’t necessarily classify it as a lightweight seat. (I’m 5’3, 135 and not only is it huge it’s just not the lightest booster seat we’ve ever owned)The seat came in 2 pieces, but it was fairly simple to snap together. I liked that when we are done with high back booster mode, he can still use it as a backless booster. Like I said my son is 6 years old, he’s about 4 feet tall (48 inches) and 50 lbs, completely average size and he fits great in the seat. There are red tabs on the seat that I was able to easily show him how to thread the seatbelt through, so now he is 100% able to buckle himself into this new seat. One of the things I was a *tiny bit* disappointed with is that Diono is known for making very slim car seats that can fit 3 across, but there is absolutely no way the Cambria would be able to fit 3 across in HBB mode or otherwise on the 2nd row bench seat of my full size SUV. Luckily, my older two sons aren’t in the high back booster anymore, but even then, with how wide the top of the seat flares out, my 8 year old (who is a baby giant) cannot comfortably sit in the middle seat next to his brother, so my skinny 10 year old has to have that pleasure.Overall though, 6 YO fits well, he loves his new booster seat, and I feel very secure opting to have him in the Cambria vs. feeling bad I did not get another seat with a 5-pt-harness for him. The seat positions him perfectly, we don’t have any slouching, the latch system is simple to use and the belt paths put his seatbelt right where it needs to be without any hassle, so I am a happy mama.

Doesn’t fit 2nd row middle seat Odyssey comfortably
I love Diono products! I have 3 Diono car seats, but upon moving my 5 year olds I discovered her 5 1/2 year old car seat’s foam is cracked! Ohhhhh nooooo. So since she is 50 pounds and 49” inches, we decided to move her to a high back booster. Unfortunately, where we would like her to sit inside of our 2017 Honda Odyssey, it will not work out. We have 2 other toddlers in the 3rd row, and adding another baby in March, per The Car Seat Lady, the middle of the second row would be the safest for our 5 year old and putting the new baby in the 2nd row passenger side. I need access to the back of the van for the two other tots and we also have an 11 year old who will be sitting either in the 3rd row, but probably more often in the 2nd row divers side. That being said, the Cambria will be getting returned today!Oh, just to add, we did end up taking off the high back of the seat, and it is still very difficult to get the seats to go back without rubbing and hitting them and having to pull pretty hard, we installed the seat with the latch system, which is super easy!

Poorly designed latch system.
Well this seat looks really nice and sturdy and comfy for my granddaughter. There was one issue with it and it means I have to return it.The main reason I purchased this seat over other seats of this style was that it has latch belts which mean it can be fastened in and won’t become a projectile in an accident. The problem arises when I went to use the latch attachments. First it took me a minute to find them because they were well tucked and the seat didn’t have any instructions with it. Then I went to loosen them so I could install them in the car. When I loosened one of the straps it pulled all the way thru the seat. The problem is once it is out it is near impossible to get it back in. They have a cover over the channel where the latch strap lays so u can’t feed it back thru to reinstall it. My son and I tried for about 20 min and gave up. My husband who is an engineer tried for another ten and gave up. I called Diono to see if there was anything that could be done. They asked me to send pictures and they would get back to me. That was two weeks ago and I never heard from them. I will be returning to amazon. I am not impressed at this point. I have the Radians and they are ok but you seem to be paying for the narrow seat and not much else in the form of bells and whistles. The Radian is sturdy though. I think I will find another booster brand. Also Incase anyone is looking and wants to know what type of latch clips this has on it. It is the simple hook type not the larger click on type with a button. I prefer the button variety because I feel the hook style is much too difficult to remove.

Love this booster, it’s sleek and comfortable!
We bought this booster in the pink and the black, one for each car. The black is super sleek and looks fantastic in my husband’s car. I was initially concerned about it being a bit too big and I was worried that the cup holders would be too low as they are level with the base of the seat and most cup holders I saw were attached to the arm rest. It’s definitely a big booster seat but it fits just fine in my husband’s Toyota RAV4 and my 5 year old who is pretty average in height but very skinny can reach her cup just fine. She says that it’s very comfortable and falls asleep easily in it. In my Toyota 4Runner she can buckle just fine but she does have a harder time buckling in the RAV4. She doesn’t ride in the RAV4 as often though so she’s just still getting used to it. I would definitely buy this again!

Nice and affordable
I got this car seat for my son because he doesn't fit the one we currently have and he loves it! My only issue is that the top half latches into the bottom but if it's not leaning against anything and he sits in it just to test it out it falls back and off. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that and will be sturdier sitting against the seat in the car or... idk lol otherwise we like it so far. It came in the mail pretty quick with no other issues.

Leider KEIN Isofix!! Auch wenn es dabei steht. Der Gelieferte Sitz hat kein Isofix.Wer darauf Wert legt, sollte sich für einen anderen Sitz entscheiden.
