The little notches in the top fit the earring wires nicely. But they are also unobtrusive so you can display something that doesn't have wires as well.

These are perfect to display earring sets or pendants for taking photos or to display. The back is metal and they are very sturdy. The soft velvet is a good quality with no issues of poor construction at all.

I had bought a similar product in the past and had to return them as they were very unstable. In contrast, these stay up in a busy shopping environment. It is a great way to feature smaller earrings that get lost in a larger display.

These are small, but quite effective to put in my shop in a small acrylic cubical to showcase one of my artists fine silver work.

I can't say enough great things about these stands. They are sturdy and have an extra pocket on the back for extra chain if you are displaying a pendent or even a price tag. Love them and will be ordering more!
