I used it only once on our golden . It does a decent job. I have used better ones (more expensive) and worse ones compared to this. So i think this is middle of the road...back up items that is worth the price.Update: I now used it multiple times and it actually does a good job. Both the short- and long- sides work well.

This double sided (2 different sizes) is VERY good at grabbing matts. Approach a big job slowly, because it really holds on. It appears to be very durable and it would be hard to break with use. I use it on German Shepherds and Cats. It works great for the tough jobs!

We have two border collies that matt up horribly in the summer. I have been searching for a product that does not hurt them.... this works!!!! it easily pulls the matt and undergrowth...

The best! Works better then furnimator on my dog. I have a cavalier and her hair does better with this brush

This is the absolute best brush I've gotten for my Pyrenees mix! His coat is so thick most brushes won't even touch the under coat. It even pulls out the clumps that haven't fallen off yet!
