I chose this book because the topic of kites was one of five available projects for my art students to pursue. Although I have made a kite before, it was a clumsy and primitive effort. Kites have begun to fascinate me, and I wanted an authoritative and artistic resource from which to share my fascination with my art students. The book is great. We are still in process of decorating and constructing these kites, so I can't tell you if they fly. But they appear as if they would. It's an inspiring book.

Although this is for kids, I enjoyed the information in it.

I own as many kite books written by Wayne Hosking as I can get my hands on. His books are not only well researched but easy to follow. I ranked this book a 4 only because of the difficulty of getting the special materials needed to build these very unique kites. I am anxious to try a few, maybe trying to adapt them to plastic materials and dowels.

Testo molto semplice da seguire con progetti carini e ben spiegati.E' rivolto soprattutto a ragazzi o adulti per laboratori con bambini. I progetti sono semplificati e realizzabili con materiali comunemente reperibili , a differenza dei modelli originali un po' più complessi.Buon approccio al mondo degli aquiloni ma anche a quel fai da te , che sino a poco tempo fa, metteva in forte comunicazione le varie generazioni.
