SOF Tourniquets are the most reliable in dirty, bloody conditions (when you need a tourniquet).

There’s a lot of stuff with questionable Quality being sold on here and with something as important as a tourniquet, you gotta make sure you get the best one possible. I wear it on my holster at work and thankfully, I haven’t had to use it but it’s a good piece of kit and I highly recommend if you’re a professional in this sort of work.

CAT is the industry standard yes. HOWEVER, for those who already know about the SOF-T , they know about it's one hidden trick up it's sleeve that no other tourniquet on the market can do. If you're looking for a single tourniquet for your LARPing kit, get the CAT. If you're a medic or designated person as such, go ahead and get 2 SOF-T . Why? because you can link two of them together and do a pelvic brace. The fact you can link 2 of these together opens up a WIDE variety of options.

So far practice with the tourniquet is easy. It has a few more features that my basic cat ts. The ability to un hook the loop slip around the limb and re clip back into place seams very versatile in cases wear you can't pick up a limb to put through the loop. Durable and sturdy. Bought for my ankle med kit fits great. Haven't used yet but so far I like it.

SOF T has always been my go-to tourniquet. Best tq around. I was surprised that these had plastic buckles, when all my previous ones had metal. They are still durable, but you can't beat metal for tq. Will still be my go-to though.

These are good tourniquets only if you're applying it to someone else. The strap is about as thin as a seat belt. The CAT Gen 7 is superior for a number of reasons. The CAT is easy to apply to myself and others. Sure it takes up a little more space but it's worth it.

It is difficult to review a medical product, of which one hopes never to need use. However, these are genuine Gen4 TacMed tourniquets. There is a modest cost savings, when purchasing the 2-pack. Having multiple CoTCCC approved tourniquets will only increase one's preparedness to effectively treat bleeding trauma to an extremity.

Definitely a needed piece of kit. 'Hope I don't need to use it.
