This usb multi SD card reader had good promise, but I never actually got it to work.Couldn't get it to read a micro SD or normal SD card. Avoid.

Works perfectly with Apple IPAD IOS7. I swich IPAD off and then attach the reader and OTG cable before switching the IPAD on again. Warning messages appear about not being an approved product but carry on reagardless and the result is prefection.Only one slight issue and that is the inserting of the SD card this is quite difficult as the tolerances are small which requires exact alignment and firm pressr to insert. Once you realise it is no longer a problem.

I had trouble getting this card reader transferring photos on an SD card to my Ipad and I returned the card reader to Amazon. I visited the Apple store in Brighton to sort out the problem and it appears that care must be taken with the format of the photos on the SD card. If photos are transferred from a computer to the SD card the format is wrong and no transfer will take place to the Ipad. The SD card must be used directly from the camera to ensure that a transfer will occur, so it appears that the card reader was probably not at fault.

The SD card slot is misaligned, so the card has to be put in at an angle. My iPad had no problems accessing the media on the card. I was hoping to manage my files on the card through the iPad, when away from a computer, but with access to wifi for uploading the files from my iPad to Dropbox. I haven't tried any other card types.

Not something I would use often but has proven its effectiveness and usability when needed.
