Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms

This is the story of two cultures in a fantasy world which are at war. In the midst of the war, the most important thing is the children. The children are the theme throughout the story. I liked the characters and the story. I felt that the way the artists changed the color of the character's hair for part of the story was not necessary. I know they were trying to have an art style which showed her in a different life. However, it was not an aspect I liked. I found it distracting.I liked the theme of life and changes. Love, children and family values. How in the midst of war, there are always children affected. Makes me wonder even more why there are wars.

This movie makes you so invested and makes you wanna sit and watch it straight through. It was captivating and literally showed and had so many emotions. The ending really got me oh man I wanted to watch even more and find out what happened after but I’m glad they got to live a happy life both off them and rebuild their future. Maquias strength is something else she is so wholesome and out of this world. Definitely recommend to watch and love.

This is a marvelous movie, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy, Studio Gibli films, and wonderful stories.The story follows Maquia, a young girl who will never get old, and the baby boy that she takes in as her own. It has themes of loss and love, and a beautiful portrayal of the struggle that it is to be a mother.The flow of the movie is clear, and the little details that show the different characters aging is done in a way that is easily picked up on, and then swept away as the years continue to pass.The vibe (emotional tone) is similar to that of "Castle in the Sky" and "Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind":Sad, thoughtful, and happy.The music is sweet and lovely, melding into the background but present enough to help the emotions in the scenes.I have never really wondered what it would be like to be an ageless being, as I am human, like you, but this movie did a wonderful job of bringing that to the screen.It is a beautiful film.Note to parents (spoilers):There is no swearing that I caught, or sex or sensual garbage in this film. There is a little bit of violence, and a bit of blood, but it is not drawn out. I think children of 9 or so would not find it unbearable. There are some heavier themes, such as the love a mother can have for a child that is not her own, the struggle of being a mother, and the hard situation of someone having a child that was put into her against her will, but the latter is presented in a way that while it will be easily understood by an adult, a young child probably wouldn't catch the depth of the situation.

i liked it but damn did i sob at the end, so if thats what ur looking for - great. One thing i have to add is that it almost felt a little incestual at some points? I hate that that’s not an uncommon genre in anime, but not to worry there was no actual incest, just some implied from an adopted son towards his mother? Maybe i misread..

I loved the movie when I watched it online so, I had to get it. It’s a lovely movie that brought tears to my ears and even afterwards I couldn’t stop crying!! I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good tear jerker and a story about acceptance and love.

It is a good show and a heartfelt story. It also has a meaningful ending and will leave your mind and heart satisfied. Such a rare breed.The main idea goes like this: what if an immortal teenager (because... anime 🤷‍♂️) were to play surrogate mom for a mortal? That's all I can spoil. Not a new idea either.Now, this team delivered a wonderful story. There were a few flaws, but they were bearable. Music was good and didn't overpower the show. Other people already mentioned the lovely 3D graphics. Also a lot of too much crying (because... anime 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️)Okay go watch it. Below this line I talk about the bad reviews.----One reviewer gave this show one star. What an utter shame and great disservice to themselves and to humanity!They liked the show but felt that story needed more development. They felt deceived by the other reviews. So they proceeded to give their own one-star review?!Another review gave this show (which, it seems, they didn't watch) two stars. They felt that it needed the original Japanese audio.Perhaps people don't understand what a review system is? Or maybe the user interface doesn't make it clear enough? What is going on?! 🤷‍♂️ 🤔

Didnt work thought i could use it in my region free bluray player bit didnt work. And when making my purchase asked for uk and this popped you so i automatically thought it was oki then i thought nevermind its region free but wouldnt play on my bluray player. Also the quality wasnt very good looked almost printed from a pc and the case is very fragile

Arrivato nei tempi stabiliti , il box Ultra Limited Edition si presenta in spesso cartone contenente i 2 Br(o dvd), un grosso booklet da 84 pagine con delle illustrazioni e approfondimenti riguardante la serie, un Special story di 16 pagine ( una mini novel) e infine tre card da collezione. Come extra abbiamo i trailer originali sottotitolati, un documentario sulla creazione del film e gli storyboard HD, i titoli di coda in italiano e il brano di chiusura tradotto. Inoltre davanti in alto è presente il numero dell'edizione limitata (0/1500) . In conclusione è uno dei migliori( se non il migliore) box che io abbia mai comprato e secondo il mio modesto parere i soldi che costa li vale tutti grazie a questa grandissima quantità di extra che per un collezionista come me è veramente fantastico. Purtroppo concludo dicendo che il film non ha avuto la possibilità di essere trasmesso al cinema a causa anche della rinuncia di Dynit ad acquistarlo, ringrazio Anime Factory per aver portato un film veramente bello che non ha nulla da invidiare a un Wolf Children ( Le lacrime partono uguali).

Come da titolo: bellissima edizione di un bellissimo film (Video meraviglioso e audio DTS-HDMA spettacolare, per questo e solo per questo due stelle anzichè una) rovinata dall'adattamento di un (probabile) discepolo del Cannarsi, che non appare più nei crediti ma si fa sentire tramite i suoi adepti. Quindi sapete cosa aspettarvi: "e infatti", "sommo", "fratellone", frasi coi verbi alla fine etc.A meno che non conosciate il giapponese non potrete nemmeno mettere i sottotitoli, visto che ci sono solo in italiano e sono uguali al parlato del film.Anime Factory, al pari di Lucky Red, da me non becca più una lira.

Cuando vi los primeros promocionales de esta película creí que el tema sería un romance típico adolescente con problemas, pero para mi suerte no fue así. Es un deleite visual y la historia, aunque se centra en el amor, es de una manera que no te esperas si no sabes nada de la película. Altamente recomendable aunque no se encuentre en español.
