Nice pair of pants.
The pants fit as I wanted them too. The length is a little bit long but I’m short so. Thighs are tighter than I would’ve liked so when I squat down they get snug. I ordered a 34 and I’m 5’8” and 184 pounds. I’ve got plenty of room in the waist. I’m definitely getting a better belt for these and I recommend you do also. Plastic buckle that’ll last about three minutes of doing anything. But overall a descent pair of pants. A little noisy but nothing I can’t live with. Using them as hiking pants so I could care less about the sound. If they were relaxed fit they would be completely awesome or if I had smaller thighs. One of the other but oh well but I do recommend these pants.

Held up well.
I ordered and wore these pants on a canoe/camping trip up at the BWCA in Minnesota. I carried #55 pack and portaged 4 times, set up three campsites and canoed around 14 miles in between. These pants held up great! No torn zipper, crotch or pockets. These pants are very water resistant, light and comfortable to wear, and stretchy. Love the Velcro and zipped pockets to keep items in place. Great pants.

Good pants with a couple of noteworthy design choices(?)/flaws
I like these pants. I'm going to keep them and I've worn a few times already. The fabric is light. There's is some of the "swish" associated with quick dry and rip stop type materials, but not as prominent as other garments I have made from similar materials. They are roomy in the waist, hip, and thigh. The included belt utilizes a clever notch/slot method that you twist a little to attach and release. The belt loops are full size and will accommodate thicker belts. For example, I've been wearing a Blackhawk CQB belt (1.75") for years and it fits the loops on these pants no problem. I don't "convert" these to shorts, but opening the zippers up about an inch provides plenty of ventilation if needed. By and large I think they hit the major points and provide a good value at the current price point. All that said, a couple of issues you may want to think about before making your decision: (1) The pockets are weird. I think other reviews echo this opinion. For something that's supposed to be active wear, all of the pockets are shallow. My phone (Galaxy S9) only fits into THE (as in one) external cargo pocket. You may not carry a phone, but there's a lot items you may need (say a folded up map) that are similar in size and aren't going to stay securely in these pockets either. I also use a compact key holder and a money clip. Despite the small form, I have to put things into specific pockets. If you can get away with carrying a satchel/murse/briefcase/backpack, it may not be a deal breaker for you. If you're travelling light, literally or figuratively, you may want or need to consider other options. (2) The pants are a bit long. This may be to accommodate boots, but if you are wearing anything without a heal the material around the heals drags. There is the ability to cinch up the ankles (at which point managing the elastic cord becomes a thing). I considered not mentioning it, but I have..uhm.."meaty" thighs, which normally results in pants hitting a touch higher at or above the ankle. If you primarily wear these as shorts, pant length is a moot point, if not, the work arounds are built in.

Great for Everyday Hikes – Comfortable and Functional
These convertible hiking pants have been perfect for my daily walks and hikes. The quick-dry fabric is super practical, and the zip-off legs are great for adjusting to changing weather. What really stands out is the number of pockets—plenty of space for carrying essentials like my phone, wallet, keys, and even snacks without needing a backpack. The elastic fabric combined with the included belt makes the fit really comfortable, even when bending, climbing, or sitting for a break.

RUN SMALL
Bought them as a gift for my husband. He liked the style, fabric and convertible design. EXCEPT THEY RUN SMALL and he refuses to wear them now :(. Unfortunately we missed the return window and they are destined to go to a donations box.

Men's Travel Safari Pants Convertible Quick Dry Zip Off
These pants are just perfect. The fabric dries quickly and wicks moisture away from you during your exertion. The color is just dark enough to be fashionable but light enough to not be mistaken for black. The fit is excellent. In the rainforest, tight fitting clothes permit mosquitoes and other swarming bugs to bite right through them. These pants are just loose enough to thwart the mosquitoes and the bugs but not so loose that you look like a kid playing dress up! The clasp on the belt is super easy to operate also. The pants are well made as the zippers work well zipping off the legs and reattaching them.

Fail
Update Mar 2023: Front zipper broke. Not wearable. Stay away. . . .The pants fit as expected. Material is 100% nylon, could be smoother to the touch. Waist closure is a single sewn-not-riveted plastic button. Maybe that will hold up? Has some pockets. Needs a watch pocket like all jeans. The left thigh cargo pocket is ok, pleated and actually has some depth and capacity. The right thigh pocket is nothing - it is no more than a piece of material sewn to the thigh with a zipper on top. I can barely get my hand in it, and it will hold precious little "cargo." The product description is sloppy and inaccurate: There is exactly one zippered pocket in front, the useless one on the right thigh, not both sides and thighs as claimed (left thigh is velcro); the back pockets are NOT zippered as claimed, they are sewn shut on one corner with a velcro tab in the center, which barely lets you open the pocket, terrible idea. The bottoms of the legs can be removed to convert to shorts, but not over shoes because there is no ankle zipper to open up the hem. Forget the included "belt" and its plastic buckle. You will need a real belt. I am keeping the pants, but it was a close call. These are just lower-to-middle market light nylon pants. Don't expect more and you will not be disappointed. Update: Actually you might be disappointed. The zipper on the right thigh pocket just broke. Down to 2 stars.
