The Froggy Pendants have been designed with texture to maintain interest while nursing or playing and provide great sensory stimulation. They are also commonly used for children over age 3 as a fidget providing socially acceptable tactile stimulation. Each pendant hangs on a silky smooth black cord with a break-away clasp for added safety. The cord hangs 14" but can easily be shortened to meet individual needs. To shorten the cord, simply pull the cord through one end of the break-away clasp, knot at the desired length, and cut/discard remaining cord. Pendants are approx. 1.5" x 0.5" x 2.5" Instructions: Wash thoroughly before use. Products are easily cleaned with soap and water. Check products before each use and discard immediately when signs of wear or irregularities are noticed. Adult supervision is required at all times. Siliconies products have not been designed for aggressive, hard chewing by mature teeth. Teething necklaces are designed for parents to wear and should not be given to baby. Why Silicone? Solved biting problem
My son started having issues with biting at daycare at 16 months to the point where he got kicked out of his first daycare. We tried books, various traditional teethers, role playing, etc. When it started becoming a problem at his new daycare they recommended "chewlery" that he could hang around his neck so that it would be constantly available. We were concerned about the fact that this goes around his neck. He is under the recommended age. The break away clasp seems very safe. It comes apart easily but is solid enough that it does not fall off of him. He only wears it when he is being supervised, but we have not had any issues with it being around his neck.It has made a big difference on his biting. He has had it most days at daycare for about a month and a half. He went from biting almost daily to maybe once a month since introducing this. He likes the frog shape, color, and seems to like chewing on it over other children. He chews on it a fair amount and it has held up, but he does not chew it aggressively. Overall a good purchase and I would recommend to anyone who is having issues with a child biting.

5 year old chewed through it
This pendent is such a great concept. My 5 year old with ASD has sensory issues and is constantly chewing on everything. This necklace was a big hit the minute we received it. However on day one my son chewed through the plastic clasp. That was an easy fix, we just tired the strings of the necklace together.He wore it every day at school the first week and even his teacher commented on how good it was for him instead of the usual chewing of erasers and pencils. It also helped calm him. But after a week of use he chewed right through the thing! I don't know what chewy pendant would be durable enough for him but I'll keep looking.

Great for 5 year olds
Perfect. My 5 year old son. He wears it to school and actually uses it and other kids don't notice. they just think it is a cute necklace. Nothing really replaces the ark grabber for him so he can get that back jaw action he craves but this is a good distraction. it is kind of bigger than I thought it would be. I went ahead a tied the ends off and let the plastic closure pieces hang and it works out better for him that way. they kept popping off.

Great product for kids who like to chew!
I bought this necklace for my 10 year old daughter. She has ADHD and is always chewing on things, like pencils and metal necklaces. I was really worried about her messing up her teeth on the metal, so I figured I had better get her something that was intended for chewing! I gave her the necklace as a gift and she really loves it. She wears it all the time and chews on it instead of other things now. It's really cute too, you wouldn't necessarily guess what it is by looking at it, it just looks like a cute frog necklace.

I purchased this for my student who has ADHD and likes to chew on things (clothes, pencils, random objects, etc). It's held up wonderfully but putting it on a cheap string with a little plastic clasp was a terrible idea! He quickly chewed through that and broke it so I tied together. Great product but could use a better necklace and clasp part.

Our daycare recommended us to buy a teething necklace for my 16 month old. She had a few biting episodes. She bites out of frustration when she is teething. She refuses to wear it as a necklace (no fault to the manufacturer, toddlers are picky little people). They hold it and give it to her when she appears to be getting frustrated. It has stopped the biting situation at school (so far).

Exactly what my kid needed
I got this for my 2 year old who has a SPD and bites when overwhelmed. This has given him an acceptable thing to bite while we work through other ways for him to deal with his frustrations. The silicone is soft so it gives when bitten. I have another teether that is too hard, and I worry that it might not be good for his teeth.

I got it to try to help her to not suck her thumb
It's a little big and long for my 3 yr old. I got it to try to help her to not suck her thumb. Only have had it a week and it's held up fine. She loves to wear it to school and sleeps with it, too.

Bitten in half within the hour waste of time and money to thin and flimsy, very dissapointed with this product

What we wanted!
My son loves this one and it does not look too much like a "sensory needs toy" so he does not feel intimidated by being different.We got two of those.
