This was a cute Christmas-gift-to-self that we used for our daughter's hand and footprints. We wanted something to capture and keep her adorable little prints for years to come, but this product was *not* a good product for that.When rolling the clay, it was nearly impossible to get a smooth finish on it, we had a LOT of wrinkles and unevenness, despite our best efforts; the clay was just not malleable enough. We tried pushing her little hand and foot into the clay, but the clay was so resistant, it was hard to get a good print (short of pushing so hard we would have broken the little bones in her hand). We resigned ourselves to the not-great print and decided that 'at least it was something.'Now, just over a year later, the clay is turning a slight tan brown color around the edges. As if the poor quality imprints weren't already eroding our desire to display this, now it is becoming discolored.The frame is cute, so at least there is that, but the clay is horribly disappointing and I wish we had purchased something different. One day, when I have the time and resources, I may try pushing softer clay into the imprints and trying to transfer the prints that way, but as for this product, I wish I had not purchased it.

I bought this as a keepsake for our son's handprint and footprint. It seems very cheap. The "glass" for the frame wasn't glass. As another reviewer said it is a cheap plastic with a black mark in the middle. Once the clay was kneaded and rolled out like the instructions said it started to dry and harden almost immediately. My son's prints are barely even noticeable and I pressed down pretty hard. It almost immediately started cracking before it even dried and there was no way to try and smooth it out. So, this was a complete waste of $20. I would NOT recommend or repurchase this product!

Got one of these kits from another brand for my first son 3 yrs ago and it worked great. This kit came with the plexiglass cracked, and the clay was poor quality. Kneaded it vigorously for 5 mins, set a timer, pressed gently into corners. Still cracked. Also, as soon as it touches air, it forms a film, causing wrinkles all over your finished product. Wanted to get my 2nd son's newborn prints, but relying on this kit was a poor choice. Should have gotten a back up, since now we're stuck with the wrinkled and cracked prints. Newborns don't stay tiny for long!

Bought two as a gift for both sets of grandparents and although the impression didn't turn out as pronounced it was still a lovely gift.

Easy to use as (long as your baby will cooperate)! This was great quality, everything you need and pretty much nothing you don't, ample instructions, and gives you the right amount of space for a newborn or a little bigger (mine's almost 14-15 lbs) and still look cute. It does take a while to completely set, but whatever, goes to show you the quality and definitely worth it for a "keepsake."If I had to give input, I'd say maybe an option for less/ lighter packaging? The box it came in was actually very nice, perfect for giving as a gift, in fact this or something like it will be the first thing I think of next time a friend is expecting. But just speaking as a crazy environmentalist lady, if it's not being gifted, maybe a simpler packaging option. Not at all a deal breaker especially since it might even be used to store the finished products later.

Very giftable but very hard to use! I returned this. I love the idea but when trying to make prints with a baby, it’s impossible to get the them to put down the kind of pressure you need to make the print. Grandparents and us- we would have loved it. We settled for prints using stamp pads.

Cute idea. Comes with the clay and a miniature rolling pin thing to help level it out. However, it is not the width of the cutout for the clay so it’s pretty useless. Directions say to use a coffee mug to help flatten the clay-what? Ridiculous. Properly sized supplies should be included with the kit!

Came on time and it is in great condition. It’s hard to get the mold just right but I will paint it white to make it look better. Still can see the prints so that nice
