Amazon Basics Commercial Grade LED Tube Light, 5000K, 14W T8/T10/T12 Compatible, Ballast Bypass, Daylight, 4-Foot, 24-Pack

My t-8 fluorescence bulbs in my shop were over 12 years old. They had become noticeably dimmer and I knew it was time to replace them. I checked out some videos on YouTube and one from Farm Project, sold me. I initially tried Hyperikon which are good, but then I saw Amazon made a replacement light and tried those too. The biggest difference is antiglare covering over the LEDs. Hyperikon has a clear covering and Amazon has a white matte covering, which is so much better on the eyes. I can't tell the difference in brightness between the two LED lights and overall, they are so much brighter than the old T-8's. The swap is super simple. Just pick up some "lever wire connectors." Ones that can do 5 wires and three wires. A kits works great. And these lights come well packaged. Well done Amazon!

The bulbs came in very secure packaging and all 12 bulbs arrived undamaged and worked when installed.The installation was fairly straightforward, but you will need some additional wire nuts most likely as none are included and generally I needed more than were in the original lights in order to do the ballast bypass. And you may need some additional 18 gauge wire depending on where the power line enters your fixture. If in the center, the existing wires from the ballast will work, but if on one end, then the ballast wires for one end will likely be too short.The instructions were adequate, but not extensive. The figures were correct and told most of the story, but the text description was lacking. However, there are a few good YouTube videos that can be used to supplement the instructions.Overall, I am pleased with the results and plan to buy more bulbs to continue converting our church building from fluorescent to LED.

Modified the existing lamp base/removed ballast to make these work. Instructions weren't quite right for our existing set-up, so we referenced the web and figured out how to make the re-configure work properly and most importantly, safely. Once up, provides a nice bright light as described and we're looking forward to saving the money. Hot tip: turn the tubes in a way that the inside led strip doesn't create a shadow. You'll notice it immediately if you install one differently than the other.

I installed these tubes in my shop, replacing some older T8 fluorescents. Installation was straightforward, but a little time consuming. Some of the negative reviews on these tubes obviously did not install them correctly. The ballasts have to be removed from the circuit, leaving straight 120 volt current, hot to one end and neutral to the other. Every tube in the box I received worked. They were exceptionally well packaged. The only negative is initial cost, but over the lifetime of the tubes, they will pay for themselves, probably several times over.

The price on these is very good. I just installed 4 and I'm happy with the color and brightness. Time will tell if they last, and if they don't, I will report back. My only dislike is the slight turn on delay. It's only around 1/2 second, so it's no big deal, but the delay is more noticeable than the fluorescent bulbs and ballast that they replaced.

My kitchen light hasn’t worked right since I moved into my house. Tried a handful of used t12 bulbs to no avail. Finally bought these when they went on sale to swap in.Install and wiring was easier than I expected. Flipped the switch and it was better than daylight.Love the lights but the only complaint is the GF made me clean the kitchen because all the dirt we couldn’t see before showed up.

Wanted to replace old florescent with LED. Other fixtures have been upgraded and I want to complete the job. Sent these bulbs back because they are alot dimmer than the existing ones. The price is right but they lack light output.

I regret not doing this conversion earlier! Bypassing the ballast is easy and takes watching a five minute YouTube video to learn how to do it. These lights are bright! Much better than the fluorescent bulbs they replaced.
