Liker does it again...
I am an avid student of the Toyota production system and have read Ohno and other books on the subject including Henry Ford's Today and Tomorrow, where the fundamentals of this system are laid out. Liker does a superb job in analyzing and bringing understanding of the system to laymen. This one lays out the real why's of the disaster Toyota faced and how the fundamentals of the Toyota philosophy dug them out and made them better. Excellent evaluation and a correct "why" found that can be utilized by any company or individual.Al

Great book on crisis management
I bought the book as I had to use a case study for my paper on crisis management. The book is a great case study on organisational crisis and what and how should the company proceed.Very well written, using engaging examples and narrative. Overall, a good business book!

Media frenzy and Toyota’s slippage
From this book, I learned 3Ds and 3Cs.(1) The media described Toyota as despicable, deplorable and depressing too one-sidedly (3Ds).(2) Toyota did not live its principles fully, but it is still a captivating, capable and caring company (3Cs).(1) above is a bit scary.

Toyota Mangement
Toyota managment is a very sophisticated method to develop your company and learn about the success of the Japanese philosophy. I can recommend these books (J K Liker) for people who need a professional guide/confirmation on how to manage different problems even on a daily basis. Whatewer is your job (Medicine, Physics, Philosophy etc)these books are the "must read" ones. :-)

Excellent account of what actually happened
The book covers what actually happened with lots of references to other information sources. I did feel it was a bit biased towards Toyota, but had all the facts to back it up. A very interesting read.
