I'm glad I bought this book. I'm a beginner in newborn photography and this book has helped. It has good tips and I love how the camera settings are added to the pictures for reference.

Covers the subject of newborn photography well. Great illustrations (with camera settings). Some really helpful advice.

I love books. So when I have a certain photo shoot to do I look up different things in my books. This one had some really cute ideas and lots of good info.

Bought as a gift for my daughter that’s into photography. She LOVES it!

this book is geared towards people who want to become newborn photographerswhile videos on sale are far more informative in terms of posing and lighting, i find this book to be enough as a stepping point as compared to robin long’s book. i especially liked the part where it tells you how to handle people and expectations - common responses to common problems that newborn photographers encounter

After training one to one with Melanie I knew this book would be a great tool to help me nail down the fundamentals of newborn photography and a great resource to refer back to in moments when I've forgotten something I had been taught. Whilst the book itself isn't a replacement for professional training it is a great read for anyone wanting an introduction to or furthering their knowledge of newborn photography.Melanie East is a well respected newborn photographer and trainer and the book covers everything from the equipment needed to posing, running a business and most importantly newborn safety!Highly recommended, well worth the investment and something I will no doubt read again and again!

I'm not sure where to begin. After training with Melanie by brain was full of all this knowledge and totally different insight and look to newborn photography. Her teaching is out of this world she's clam and patience in showing you how to get the most from your session and most importantly how to do it safe. This book was an incredible read after attending a 1:1 with Melanie and has helped remind me of bits and bobs I may have forgotten after my training. It's a great thing to have on the shelf when you want a little bit of refreshing about something. Fabulous newborn photography book by an incredibly talented photographer.

Having been on training with Melanie I was keen to get her book. And boy it didn't disappoint! It's clear, concise, using her lovely imagery and packed full of really useful information. I'm in the process of changing career and I feel this will really help. It covers safety, posing (in detail), business, case studies and editing allowing you to have the confidence to photograph newborns. It's also honest, which I absolutely love.

I purchased this book in advance of attending a training one to one with Melanie. It has been a great support to me since returning from the training for planning my workflow, setting out my shoots and working with clients. Its super to have such a well written book for new and professional photographers at such an excellent price. I've read many newborn photography books recently but this by far is the best I have seen.

After previously having a one to one session with Melanie it was a no brainer that once this book was realised that I would be purchasing it. Everything you could possibly need to know about newborn photography is included in the book. But not only that, It is also explained in such a clear way that's so easy to understand. Jam packed with amazing images I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of doing newborn photography.
