I really does work!
It really does work! I really do not eat a lot of raw foods, but I have been looking at these for several months. (Should have bought it earlier in the spring for sure!) I ended up chosing this brand because it came with the brush and said it came with a cook book. Well, the cook book was a download, but I guess that is OK- it is a starting point. My first try was with a zucchini Ramen recipe. Worked well, except I didn't think about the noodles being so long- in fact I was able to make super long 'noodles' before the stream broke off. So you probably want to pay attention to the length of your noodle as you spin. I have actually used this to make uniform 'noodles' to bake into a couple of casseroles. It is faster than slicing the zucchini andlooks pretty cool when it bakes up. Need to try other veggies, but I am pretty pleased.

The little output hole where the un-spiralized core of your vegetable goes gets clogged pretty easily. it's awkward to hold for
It's okay. I guess it's what I'd expect for the price. It's a little flimsy. The little output hole where the un-spiralized core of your vegetable goes gets clogged pretty easily. it's awkward to hold for the amount of force you have to use to turn your vegetable. That being said, I bought a low-cost option because I wanted to try out the concept of spiralizing before investing in something more heavy-duty (and safer for the fingers - I sliced mine upon first use). If you're looking for something to use regularly, I would not recommend this one - this is a "I only spiralize on national holidays"-caliber tool.

It is small and easy to store and clean
It is small and easy to store and clean. It can go in the dishwasher which I love. I have only use it on Zucchini so far and it was easy to use and my zoodles turned out great in a short amount of time! The lid that attaches to the vegetable to hold it tends to quickly rip through so it no longer holds on to it but at that point it is almost too small to spirilize anyway.

It most certainly gives beautiful spirals - both thick and thin at either end
It most certainly gives beautiful spirals - both thick and thin at either end. The reason I give it 4/5 stars is the end of the vegetable gets left behind and I did not find the cap very useful. It just punctured through the zucchini and didn't get a good grasp on it to twist. However that is a small matter because you can just chop up the end and mix in with the pasta spirals.Overall very convenient, small and sharp gadget. Does the trick!

Sharp, sturdy, easy to clean.
I bought this on a whim to make "pasta" during Passover. I have to say I was skeptical about zucchini/summer squash really being acceptable as pasta, but to the surprise of myself and my family we all liked it. We loved it the second time when we served it with regular marinara sauce and meatballs. When I say we, I'm talking about grandkids, all the adults and my 94 year old mother. The Vespiral is very sharp, so be careful with the first time using it (cut myself). It is sturdy, easy to clean. The little black lid, didn't really grasp the zucchini and hold it tight, so I use a salad fork to utilize all the zucchini and that worked fine. I haven't tried any other vegetables.Be sure to purchase smaller zucchini so they will fit into the gadget. I tried cutting a larger one in half lengthwise and it did NOT work well. The veg really needs to be round to get noodles. If you're looking to cut your carb load or increase your vegetable intake this gadget does what it purports to do: make vegetable "noodles" and it does it well.

Hilariously terrible. So not grate.
Within the first five minutes of use, as both the blade guard and then a fundamental piece of the coarse blade snapped off and landed in the pile of ripe zucchini spirals below, I mused, wondered, if you will, what brain-dead professional would consider this product "chef quality"? Jerome "Chef" McElroy? Poppin' Fresh? Maybe that guy who says "bork! bork! bork!" ... or possibly even Guy Fieri? My leftover excitement, as I peeled the wee bottle brush out of the box, did not cut the mustard with my wife, Julienne; I tried, until my voice was but a rasp, but no dice! Not one to mince words, her criticisms skewer my protests! So now I must whisk my way to the store, chop chop, to find a rugged replacement that will be a cut above this product, something she won't pan, or leave me to stew about with egg on my face, something that can't be beat! Huzzah!

Great spiralizer and fantastic seller
This is a truly terrific product. I'd been looking at spiralizers and had originally settled on another model that Williams Sonoma carries. But the size of that device made me hesitate as my counter space is very limited. Enter this one: thanks to the positive reviews and very reasonable price, I figured how could I go wrong? So far, I've used it once to make zucchini pasta, and it's so easy to use, clean and store away. It's amazing how small it is, yet it works like a charm. Very glad to have purchased it. I ended up buying a second one for a friend! Thank you Joe, for such a great product that will get plenty of use.

This works great for zucchini
This works great for zucchini, but that's about it. I tried using it for butternut squash and all I did was cut my finger! If the vegetable isn't the right size or shape to fit in the spiralizer you might as well forget it.
