I dont even know where to start, i absolutely LOVEEE these pulldown blackout blinds, i searched walmart and other stores and these were the cheapest that i could find so i gave them a shot and i was not dissapointed, they arrived and i didnt even need to look at the directions they were sooo easy to understand and install, with the equipment that comes with them you can hang them a couple different ways depending on the window which is nice because that ended up being crucial when installing for me as u can see the end windows i had to install a little differently because of the screen system on those windows. So after not even 5 minutes of drilling holes for the screws and screwing in the clips all you have to do is clip them into the window, by far the easiest installation ive ever had to do. They have a reflective side and then the colored side which will be so helpful in the summer. They are sturdy, pull down very easy and are adjustable. None of it feels cheap or low quality... which i wouldnt have minded but was a pleasant surprise. Also a really cool thing is you can adjust how long the string is for the handle, i kept mine short because my cats would eat them otherwise. The only thing was on the one blind has the smallest rip in it which i assume was from the shipping, the box arrived a little beat up but again i dont really mind enough to ship it back my cats will most likely do more damage than that eventually. Overall a wonderful product and have already recommended these to my sister and anyone who will listen hahaha 10/10

Easy to install and its darkens the room really good.

For what they are designed to do, the shades themselves work very well. Standing right next to them, you can feel the heat they are keeping out. Stand away from them, and the room in general feels cooler. They look much sleeker than the ones we previously had and the foiled look on the outside is barely noticeable when viewed outside the house. I was worried that it'd look like we foiled out windows to keep the alien brain controlling waves out, but it looks pretty good externally.What's keeping these from a 5-star rating is the extremely cheap screws that come with the unit for installation. But it is important to note that this is literally my only complaint. I'm going to vent a bit, but keep looking at that 4/5 star rating and remember that the main unit itself is good and worth the money. Just make sure you have some real screws to work with.First off, why are there only 3 screws for an installation that (to me) seems to obviously call for 4 screws. I initially thought I had lost a screw, being the klutz that I am. However, upon opening the next set, it too only had 3 screws, so you're basically down a screw with each set. Next is the screw quality: it's terrible. Judging by the fact that anchors come with the set (again only 3, so you know this is intended now), these cheap screws are intended for drywall or amazingly soft wood. I was screwing these into the inner frame, so the got stuck and stripped. Fortunately, I had a set of removal tools and was able to get them out, but it should be noted that these screws are not intended for anything other than drywall. Use more stable and strong screws if you are going to use this unit on the window's real wood frame. This was horribly frustrating after spending almost $200 on 4 sets. That's the one main thing they could improve upon: real screws and give us 4 of them instead of 3.What I did not try was the withdraw speed adjustment. I felt it was fine as is and didn't bother messing with it, but the instructions made it seem way easier that it actually was. Since I was satisfied with the default setting, I didn't bother with it.

I popped this on my window in about 10 minutes and most of that was measuring. It darkens better than I anticipated and I love the look.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I had waited to use this product due to renovations. It was stored in a safe location and no damage to the delivery box could be seen. When installing the product I could not get it to fit and realized one of the plastic clasps was broken (see pic). To make matters worse the screws are stripped and I can’t get the metal part down which will hinder me from getting a better product. I may have to hire a professional to remove the screws to avoid damaging my window. To say I’m angry is an understatement. Steer clear of this plastic junk!

These blackout shades do exactly what they are intended to do. There are a lot of street lights outside of my home and they would keep my bedroom filled with light like it was high noon even at 10pm. Once I installed these shades I was finally able to have a dark room and get some much needed sleep. These were incredibly easy to install. I highly recommend you get these shades if you are looking to keep the light and the heat out of your room.

The shades are as described and relatively easy to install, but it looks like they were stored in a humid place as the metal parts are rusty and there are some mold/stains on the shades themselves. Ordered three and the issues are identical for all three.
