I find most graters annoying and awkward especially for things like block Parmesan cheese and fresh ginger root. However, I LOVE this particular grater. It is very sharp and effective. The rubber tips at the "feet" hold it in place, the handle is very comfortable and I can grate swiftly. Two hints I was given: freeze your softer cheese like cheddar and it grates well. Freeze your ginger root and it preserves well and again grates like a charm. This grater cleans easier than any other grater I have ever used, takes up a small amount of space in my drawer and is handy. Maybe I'll even start using it as a Zester.

This grater seems sturdy and well made. It is very easy to use and to clean. I grated colby cheese with it the first day I got it and it did well. It grates finely, so if you need a coarser grate, you will need a different grater. The grated cheese comes out curled and kind of fancy looking, so it would be great for a more finished look if you are entertaining. It comes with a nice silicone sleeve to keep it in also, which is a bonus.

Yes, I really love this product and will not trade it for any other grater. I had one similar to it and I grated so many things with it like cinnamon stick, ginger, garlic and nut meg. I highly recommend this product.I give it 4 stars

WoW this works great (grate) for shredding lot of veggies, not just cheese. Made a salad very colorful with shredding a red bell pepper over the greens, Shredded orange rind into a smoothy, great. Did a great job of shredding potato for a very fine bed of hash browns for the bottom of my baked egg cups. This is a great tool.

This was a birthday gift from an accomplished chef friend. I love this cute little thing. I have a Paleo restaurant and it is used constantly for lemon zest, ginger tea, shredded garlic and cheese, etc. Have to get a few more because my staff is fighting over it. It's very sturdy and well made. Thank you LDTR.

I bouth this one to compare it to the original microplane, and liked it even better. It doesn't have openings on the sides which I found produced better results for me, and made it easier to clean. Quite a useful utensil, particularly for grating small to medium amounts of cheese. Fast and simple.

This a very good product. Well constructed and it performed very good. Very satisfied that I made the right choice since there were so many to choose from. I do a lot of cooking and baking and I had wanted one of these for years. Now I just want to grate everything.
