Fit right and wear great

Very Similar size to the Youth Set which is 14.5"I have 3 boys who are catchers and to say the least they are pretty particular when it comes to the gear they like. I have tried all of the gear available on the market and I coach as well so i have gear for my teams. The Mizuno Gear seams to be a favorite among players due to its lightweight design with great paddingThey have some cheaper mizuno gear but this set is top notch. I don't know anyone who has worn it that doesn't love it. All my sons started with easton sets and 2 of them now prefer this gear over easton because its more comfortable.One thing that is unique to mizuno samurai set is the shin guards have an extra strap on the bottom of the foot protector that runs underneath the players cleat. Some kids like this feature, others don't. I prefer it to the easton gear for this feature because it prevents their shin guards from shifting around when they are sliding around on their knees as much. If you are looking for some great gear for your kid or young adult you can't go wrong with this.

Sturdy and comfortable

Love these. They are the only one with the strap that cross over the arch of the foot which keeps the guard in place while squatting into catchers position, no more shifting. My 10yr daughter is 4'10" and wears a size 14 clothes. She is more muscular than some of the other girls on her team. I was worried these would be too big, but she is doing great with them, especially since they stay in place. Additionally, the top part covers her lower thigh by the knee better and she feels more secure in these than her old ones (not Mizuno brand) as she's taken a few pitches to the legs. While worth the price and investment into very durable gear.

The media could not be loaded.  My daughter loves these shin guards and why I stay with them. Usually I get a year out of them but not this pair. This pair has half a season use and already done for. My kid does pride herself in blocking every single ball and in doing so is hard on her shin guards. However Mizuno these can be redesigned to last longer ….

Daughter is in 14U and 5’ 5”. She has the 16” shin guards. We have had them for 5 months now and really love the feel and protection. They fit the legs very well and she has no restrictions in movement. So happy we bought an extra set.

My daughter has only been using these for two months and the strap to the top pad came unstitched, not a tear. This appears to be a manufacturing error. This should fall under the 1 year warranty since we just got them in May 2023.
