Basic Leadership
As is typical of a Ken Blanchard book, this one is short, easy to read, and written in a story format that allows the reader to become immersed in the storyline as well as learn the lessons. There are some great tactical elements - like 1:1 meetings that are scheduled and focused, brown bag lunch and learn sessions, and setting meeting times and days when focus can be maximized. The concepts of employee engagement, investment, and that there's no quick fix for leadership hold true. Yes, the book is short, basic and expensive for its size. However, it is on point, entertaining, and will provide a few useful tips that make it worth the couple hour read and few bucks spent.

Commonsensical ..... BUT
Pros:The Secret Blend: Integrity, Partnership, and AffirmationExcellent read, The Leadership Pill does a great job of describing the Secret Blend in an easy to follow story format.Cons:The Leadership Pill is short and the authors spent approximately 20 percent of the book telling a story that need not be so long. The build up to the challenge was described in an excessive and grandiose manner to say the least.Oversimplified the qualities needed to be an effective leaderLittered with little catch phrases (again see page 110)Overall, The Leadership Pill is a commonsensical book with oversize font that left be me wishing I had only borrowed it.

Great book....I wanted more!
Great information for the 21st century leader. I definitely liked the book flow which made the detailed concepts easy to read. I only gave it 4,stars because I want to read more about the detailed practices and examples touched on in this book. It is definitely a must read.

Interesting
It was an interesting read. I read for a class on leadership and the points were well drawn out. The story line wasn't very interesting, but good enough that I was able to finish the book. If it was terrible, I would've had a hard time getting even half way through. Good lessons in here.

Typical Ken Blanchard
This is a leadership "story" (fable) told in a very Ken Blanchard style. I didn't find anything new in it. However, if you've never read Ken Blanchard, or if you are new to "leadership", I think it would serve as a very good introduction. If you have been into "leadership" for some time, and you are looking for a quick refresher of salient points, this should work.

Little book full of great guidance
This book is small but it is full of great guidance and there is no fluff. I have read a bunch of Ken Blanchard's books and I have yet to be disapointed. Add this book to your library.
