Useless products
Reviewed in the United States on July 12,2021I have a few of these filters on the input side of the water softener to filter our crappy city water before it enters the softener. I have used this product in earlier years it was no problem, but the last purchase in 2019, we found in three of them, black carbon everywhere in water System. I have replaced the second one and the third one and it has the same resulting problem. I Installed a new replacement cartridge in the beginning of 2019. For the last three replacements the carbon filters all have same problem: black specks in our water, sinks, toilet bowl, etc. tankless water heater. Then all the faucet screens in the house were plugged up. When I investigated and looked at the filter cartridge I noticed that a huge chunk of the carbon block was MISSING. What is left inside is like a sludge and simply crumbles in your fingers. The whole thing has turned to mush... This has ruined our Water Softener. No matter how many back flush cycles I run, we keep getting black sludge in our water. I will be forced to replace the water softener and maintenance the tankless water heater, laundry machine as well now at a cost of over $2500. Stay way clear of this brand. I have no idea where I can fight for my loss

Seems to be a good filter.
These filters appear to be of high quality. The price is good at just over $21 each. I just installed one today 10/20/16. I will see how it performs over the next several months. Good for my plants & fish
Local water has chlorine & chloramine. 50 gallons per hour thru 3 filters in series reduced chloramine in 300 gallons water to undetectable, or near 0 ppm. First gallon thru filters was clear, no visible carbon.
